But OPM had their biggest hit in 1994 when their smash hit "I Taught Your Boyfriend (That Thing You Like)" rose to #2 on the charts. Unfortunately, the band couldn't keep it together after a significant amount of infighting caused by the pressures of a dwindling fanbase. They broke up in 1995 after an in-studio brawl during the recording of Out of the Closet, Into the Friar.

Still waiting to hear. It's down to me and another guy with about 10 years experience and a more impressive pedigree than me. I'm the more talented but riskier candidate (from their point of view) who will be a better cultural fit vs the one that is an easier sell to the board and more of a sure thing if not as much of an upside with the potential of not fitting in with their culture.

I'm going to follow up today or tomorrow but I suspect that they haven't been able to get him into Boston over the last week in order to get to the point where they can make a decision.

ETA - I also found out some info here yesterday that makes me a little nervous. I knew direct competition from my current company was coming but it's much closer than I would like.

I had my annual review today, during which the other person repeatedly used the phrase "your personal brand". Somehow I thought nothing else would make me stabbier today, yet here we are.

Did it include, "Has never demonstrated knowledge of the existence of the song All About That Bass?"

I did poorly on the "current pop culture knowledge" portion. I blame not having traveled enough or had my hair cut recently, which are the two times I read People magazine.

I've been gainfully employed full-time since October 2013, but the job allows me to work from home.
