Not so fast on yet on naming a replacement for The Bus' role last year in the Steelers' offense. There is thought through the Steeler coaching staff that maybe the Steelers will not need a goal line back this season. They are looking at whether or not Willie Parker can be their tailback and goal line specialist.

IF this happens, it has to give strong consideration into elevating Willie Parker into the top 10 fantasy RB's.

Parker never got but maybe one opportunity from the 5 yard line in last year in games. Duce was never a goalline back and Verron was a 3rd down back. It is not a stretch that Parker could stay in some around the goalline this year if the others don't fair to well.

By the way, the goalline drill in Pitts' practice heavily favors the defense cause they go ALL out for the run, there is no possibility for a bootleg run or pass and if the offense does go play action pass like last year, the defense doesn't care cause it is all about stuffing the line.

I still think Verron will get it (short yardage back) but I don't think that will be determined until they get some preseason games to judge. Verron just always seems to be able to get just enough yardage every time he gets gametime opportunities.

I like VH as a sleeper. Agreed, he seems to get all he can when called on. Staley is just too much of an injury risk. Plus we know Cowher likes to have a short yardage/goalline back. VH is that guy.

From all of the reports I have read, Haynes is expected to take over the bus's role as goalline back.He did well in the 3rd down role last season, although not much of a fantasy commodity. I expext that to change this year.
