I was thinking about making some reasonably lowball offers for him, like maybe Braylon Edwards or someone like that. Gotta think that Steve Smith owners are getting pretty nervous by this point.

This is silly. Anyone who drafted Smith knew there was risk. They knew he might start off slow or on the bench. They are not going to dump him for anything less than an extremely productive consistent player with a slightly lower upside unless they are morons.

I'm just not big on trying to vulture a guy. If the Smith owner came to me and said they wanted Edwards for Smith, it might be a different story. I know good and well that the guy could light up the scoreboard when he returns and wouldnt think about trying to get him for a chump. Sounds silly, but its just the way I feel about it.

I'd take Braylon for Smith in a heartbeat if I owned him.
