CBS stated that gore was on the sideline at the end of the game limping from an apparent knee injury..anyone have more info?

He was getting looked at towards the end of the game, but was on the field for the last (kneeldown) snap. I wouldn't worry too much.

It's nothing. He was interviewed at the end of the game. If it was anything major, he would not have done the interview.

49ers | Gore expected to play Week 3

Mon, 17 Sep 2007 15:33:23 -0700

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (leg) missed a couple plays Week 2 with a leg strain. He is expected to play Week 3.

Gore left Sunday's game against the Rams for several plays with a leg strain, but the 49ers did not report any injuries following the game, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports.

Spin: Nothing to worry about here -- we just wanted to pass on the information in case you noticed Gore's brief absence on Sunday. The leg strain won't affect his status for next Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.

whew. i was worried for a bit. but since he was standing 15 feet behind alex smith while he knelt down, that is a sure indicator that he'll rip it up against the steelers next week.

Maybe his leg was hurt because he used up all his energy breaking 5 tackles on his way to converting a 4th and 1 on the 40 for a touchdown.

The guy plays with his heart on his sleeve. That TD was so sweet it almost made me cry. Frank Gore for president.
