Green Bay #2 WR? (1 Viewer)

I haven't heard anything lately re. who the #2 WR is/will be in Green Bay. Has Greg Jennings officially won the job?I found this today:

Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson remains the team's No. 1 punt returner, for now, according to special teams coach Mike Stock. After rookie WR Greg Jennings returned a punt 27 yards on his only return, it wouldn't be surprising to see him take over the job. Stock said the plan was still to go with Woodson, who was supposed to get some opportunities but didn't because the defense couldn't stop the Cincinnati Bengals in the first half of their preseason game. "It doesn't change anything at this point in time," Stock said.

I don't think a decision or announcement has been made. It looks like Driver, Ferguson, Jennings, Gardner and Martin are locks to make the team. Ferguson has had a quiet camp but may open as the #2 anyway. Jennings appears to be next in line and expected to move up soon.

Agree that Fergy will get the "obligatory" veteran start in game 1, but Jennings seems like he's quickly built a lot of chemistry w/ Favre (trust wise) thus far and I see him gettting the #2 stats (even out of the #3 role).TDs will be the X factor w/ GJ though. The pack will struggle to run all year w/ that O line, and likely be playing from behind a lot w/ that defense, so I really like Jennings' upside - even as a rookie - this year. W/ Driver getting the #1 CB and potentially his share of double teams, the weak side (read Jennings) looks promising. Favre is not usually a qb that locks on a WR (like Delhomme/SS) and throws to whoever gets open. I'm betting GJ has a NICE year and is considered for ROY.60/950/7Disclaimer = have him in 2 leagues and missed out in a 3rd.
