Green Bay at Chicago (1 Viewer)

Not really understanding the Bears Coaching staff here.. You have a HUGE size advantage with Marshall and Jefferey's and yet not a lot of play calling out to them.. Packers ahve been walking up and down the field on your defense, so you better start putting some points up, or start planning your winter vacation.

Boykin gave himself up. Play should have ended upon recovery.
How did he give himself up?
Dead give away when he stands there with the ball in one hand then walks away slowly from the endzone hes supposed to be facing...if Boykin gets hit while hes standing there with the ball I have no doubt Chicago gets flagged, play was over.
Considering the refs intentionally did not blow the whistle, no, the play was not over.

Excellent argument. The refs never make mistakes and are never wrong.

Well here is the rule

(d) when a runner declares himself down (i) by falling to the ground, or kneeling, and clearly making no immediate effort

to advance, or (ii) by sliding feet first on the ground. When a runner slides feet first, the ball is dead the instant he
touches the ground with anything other than his hands or his feet;
Interesting thing is that Chicago would probably prefer this ruling although the ball wasn't really rest for very long.

when a loose ball comes to rest anywhere in the field of play, and no player attempts to recover it; the official

covering the play should pause momentarily before signaling that the ball is dead. Any legal (or illegal) kick is
awarded to the receivers, and any other ball is awarded to the team last in possession. When awarded to a team
behind a goal line, the ball is placed on the one-yard line.

Bears Defense came up big there.. Really felt if the Packers scored a TD you could basically wave :bye: to them..

Not sure you can make a move if you are the head coach of the Bears.. Cutler hasn't "sucked" but he hasn't been lights out either.. Hard to sell the team on a change when it's a close game.

The winner of this game looks like the likely victim of a first round playoff blowout.
The good news is that whoever gets in won't have high expectations placed on them anyways. Makes it less stressful for us fans on game day.

But at least they can say they made the playoffs.

Cutler 6/11 70 yards in the first half, and if it's possible he's been worse than those stats show.

670 The Score is going to be insanely listenable if the Bears lose this one.

Which part is supposed to show he's giving himself up? None of the refs blew a whistle, clearly showing they knew the play was still live, so how would they flag the bears?
