Green Bay at Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

Dumb play call.

Franklin is ready to lead the Packers with Lacy as his Robin. #1 QB and you run against a stacked box. McCarthy = Sherman... yuck.

Good call Mike.. Let's use a 3rd string scat back and a below average, finesse pass block oriented offensive line and run it up the gut on short yardage against the best defensive tackle in the league.

THAT is ridiculous.

Yeah, Franklin's fumble happened late in the game however seeing the wasted opportunities from the whole game is what cost the Packers the game. Have to remember how many INT's Rodgers had, batted passes, and missed chances first. Franklin did have, arguably, the best game of any Packers player today. Something wasn't right today with many on the offense.

Huge win. WHO DEY. Rematch in February?
The Pack better clean up shop or else they'll miss the playoffs.
(sigh) I know I'm going to get heat for this but... Green Bay would have to fire Capers and improve one of the worst 3-4 offensive lines in the league for them to really do anything in the playoffs. Rodgers gets them there, but that's about as far as they'll continue to go until they replace Capers and TT re-evaluates his offensive line prospect grading system.

Love the Pack. But I'm also a realist.

It's a shame, because Rodgers is in his prime and they are probably 2 solid drafts away now.

LOL we just won like the most ridiculous game ever :)

We did to the Packers what the Bears did to us in Week 1.

To think that we can have just a comically awful middle of the game and come through and win this is incomprehensible.

Capers had nothing to do with this one...or even last week (when you went on a rant about him).

Not this week. But since you brought it up... They annihilated the Redskins, yet despite that, Washington still passed for 300+ and ran for 100+, which really is telling considering the team was defeated midway through the 2nd quarter. In no way should that instill confidence in the Pack's defense, though, and even Mccarthy addressed it throughout the week. He called it "finishing". That's a nice way of saying "WTF happened to the defense in the 2nd half?"

Nope, this week was the offensive line, primarily (also mentioned above). Cincy's a very good team with an aggressive defensive line, and the difference in talent showed... quite severely.

And everyone agreed your criticism of Capers last week was awful.
THAT is why I don't come to the Packers threads on this board for actual information. It is tough for some folks to separate fan-ism from real-ism. There is very little to be proud of with regard to Green Bay's defense the last few years-- despite having pretty decent talent. But love him if you wish. Not sure how many playoff blowout losses you need to see, but...

Anyway, quite the different problem on the offensive line. That is a talent issue.

Its not about fanism.

As I said last week...I have been one of the most critical of Capers that there are. I bashed him week 1 and questioned whether he should have been brought back this season.

Does not mean what the D did yesterday or last week against Washington was bad or worthy of bashing Capers about it. So not sure where you are getting that I love him. Just that your comments about the D last week were way off base and when you actually get nearly every Packer fan agreeing that you were wrong on this board...you probably are.

Want to put this loss on someone. The Head Coach and QB is where Im putting most of it on.
