Damn...injuring your knees that easily...has to be genetic or something. I knew a girl who tore her ACL by getting out of a car...had surgery on it and when it was almost done healing, tore her other ACL while doing some easy task.I had a blind bid going in for him in a fantasy league...was expecting to get an awesome sleeper...looks like I'm retracting it now. I can't see how this isn't career ending considering his injury history. His potential was much much greater than Danario Alexander's IMO.
I think some people are more susceptible to injury. If a boxer can have a glass jaw, why can't a WR have comparatively weak tendons? Of course, trying to discern which individual is injury prone is where the rub is. Football is a violent sport so multiple injuries to the same body part could be just coincidence. If his prior injury was contact related, like this one, I don't know that this tells us he is injury prone or just very unlucky.BTW, I was really high on Childs. I didn't mean to imply he was no more talented than Alexander. But Alexander is clearly a case where his knee injury in college hurt his draft stock and his continued problems with them has limited his ability to capitalize on opportunity. I wish the kid the best.
