I'm also in again!

My league doesn't give negative points for misses over 50 yards and also gives +1 for made FGs >50 yards. Drafting Zuerlein in this setting is a serious no-brainer in my opinion.

 
My league gives <29 yd FG's 2 points, and does 1 extra bonus point for each 10 yds (3 points for 30-39 yds, 4 points for 40 yds, Up to 5 points for a 50+ yd FG) - Legatron should do well for me

 
The best part of drafting Zuerlein is that the cheatsheet worshippers don't even consider him and you can wait out and grab good backups at WR and/or RB while others are panicking because two kickers were taken already.

 
:wub: that this Legatron thread is 15 pages long.

Went too high in my leagues, which is before last round. Word is out, smoke 'em if you got 'em and enjoy the ride!

Yep. Grabbed him last round, last kicker in 2 leagues. 70+ yarder is not out of the question here!

 
imagine being up 6 in your league championship and legatron comes in and drills a 65 yarder..

that would be the last time you hear kickers dont matter

 
Picked him up in the 2nd to last round in one of my leagues. No body even knew who he was. He wasn't even on the 1st sheet of my kicker cheat sheet!

He got picked right before me in my big money league. It was the only time the entire draft where I said "God Dmn!" cause someone sniped my pick.

This guy is going to break the record this year, mark it down.

 
Drafted him in all but one league. Going to enjoy the biggest positional advantage outside of Jimmy Graham at TE.

All joking aside, this is the only kicker Iv ever been excited to own. STL will trot him out for a 63 yard attempt six minutes into the first quarter whereas most teams would just punt unless it was close to the end of the half/game.

playing tougher defenses this year?

those are strictly guesses..

I figure the offense should be improved so that should help both more fgs and xpa + he has 9 games minimum in dome (cardinals) also.

Kicker rankings are always big difference. I am high on Alex Henery and some plays have him lower than Mason "Miss" Crosby. The offense for Eagles is gonna me much improved and not every trip inside the 40 is gonna be a td.

Alot of people had Prater high, if last night is anything to know... he might kick get a ton of xps but not too many fgs.. even though fox should of attempted the 56 yarder in the first half

 
they have him as the 20th kicker this week (legatron).

6 points.

One kick from 50 + and he is almost at his points total predicted.

The dude has a leg, but so far his consistency, especially from long range, isn't that great. Also the Rams so far haven't been that great on O and they have a tough schedule again. It also seems that 50+ field goals just aren't that rare anymore. Hauschka from the Seahawks booted 5/5, 4 from 50+ in his last preseason game. He has an ADP below Zuerlein and is on a much better team. If anything, Zuerlein seems a bit over rated to me.

This. Until he puts it all together for an entire season, the novelty of 60 yard field goals is just that.

 
6 of his 8 misses are from 50+ 5 of them were on the road.

5 of his misses were on grass. and he did have a lot of misses late in the year. tired leg?

I wouldnt go out of my way to get him but he does have some numbers to really like.90% of kickers are automatic from inside 40 yards. so its in theory nice to have a domer kicker who can launch him from 50 +

The one benefit to him compared to Hauschka would be the weather. Personally most likely I'll be rotating kickers more than I rotate my undies so I never got the chance to grab him. Ideally I'd like to grab someone with a week 4 or 5 bye week in a good situation or someone a week 11 or 12 bye week. where its gonna be one roster move and done.

I do think people get wrapped up in his monster leg though and thats why some here over value him. But he was still in the bottom 3rd in fgs made.. But it seems like an improved offense so that number should increase

Totally in. Drafted him and called him my pick of the draft, proclaimed he would single handedly win games for me.

I also don't understand how FBG can rank him so low. With another year under his belt and an improved offense, the sky is the limit for this kid. He'll have a couple of sick weeks.

In a position that otherwise doesn't matter at all, I'll take the one guy who is a potential difference maker.

He's my kicker in all but one league and fbg contest.

 
Guy was sitting on the wire in 3 bigger money leagues where 5 points are given for 50 yarders. Plucked him in all 3.

Surprised by his low rankings on EVERY fantasy football site?

 
Took him in one league and Josh Brown in another. I think the position can and does make a difference. I've lost too many games by three or less to not want a few extra points out of any position. I think both guys I selected can do that over my typical opponent's kicker.

I don't know enough about Walsh, I think they are both in good situations for kickers.

All I know is Zuerlein looks like he has the biggest leg in the game, ive seen all his 50 yd+ kicks and he clears them by a large margin.

Sometimes its just faulty logic used in rankings but I can't even think of what they're thinking when they rank him. Its like group think has taken over. A guy was ranked 16 in the preseason then he's 16 now.

there's something like group think going on for sure. i bet also that people doing all these rankings maybe spend a lot of time on the other positions and by the time they get to kickers they just copy it off espn ratings or something.

 
I get fractional points for kickers in my dynasty team. I have Legatron and if he hits a 65 yarder he would get 6.5 points! ( I also have another monster legged kicker, Caleb Sturgis, on my taxi squad)

I traded a 2nd round rookie pick for him last year & had few guys rip on me for giving up a 2nd for a kicker. I have him in multiple leagues that award insane bonus points for FG's over 50 yards with no penalty for misses. He is money.

Just in a regular football sense, that's an incredible weapon to have. Most teams have to get to the opponents 30 to have a shot. As long as you're beyond midfield, there's a shot.

Though I guess since this is a fantasy forum and not a Rams forum, I guess it's a good kind of weird.

Just in a regular football sense, that's an incredible weapon to have. Most teams have to get to the opponents 30 to have a shot. As long as you're beyond midfield, there's a shot.

I think that was because Fisher was playing not to lose with Bradford and 3rd rate WRs. He now supposedly has weapons. I don't think they'll settle for 3 as much but that doesn't mean they won't be kicking as many FGs. Just nice having Legatron in your back pocket in case you only get to the 40.

We use bonus scoring for K's in my league. 5pts for 40-49yds, 10pts for 50-59 and 15 pts for 60+. :drive:

My one league did something similar a couple years ago. When Janikowski kicked 6 FGs one game and ended up with 48pts, we changed the rules the next season.
