Guess on over/under on Saints/Lions game? (1 Viewer)

Two hot potent offenses in a dome. Over/unders in the NFL don't get above 50 all that much. I am guessing it opens at 61, which is basically unheard of.

Detroit 62 New Orleans 56

M. Stafford, 43 for 71, 588 yards, 8 TD's, 2 INT's

C. Johnson, 23 receptions, 346 yards, 4 TD's

D. Brees, 50 for 73, 698 yards, 6 TDs, 1 fumble

Probably something like 42-27 Saints. The Saints defense has a way of making a couple stops early in the second half, which is usually enough to carry a 2-3 score lead the rest of the game.

These types of matchups often find a way of ending with a 14-17 score.
Or perhaps unexpected results have a way of sticking in our mind more than expected results, thus giving the illusion of this occuring more often than one would think.
My over/under is 51, with New Orleans favored by 3.5.
You should be betting quite a lot on Detroit then imo.

I can't wait to see this game... Not as a Lions fan... As a Lions fan I #### my pants the minute the Lions v Packers game was over today, and I realized the chances of the Detroit Lions finally winning a playoff game became very low. However It will most likely be the most entertaining game of the year! I mean if Flynn/Stafford can break records in 30 degree snow flurries at Lambeau Field... what will Brees/Stafford do, IN A DOME? I'm still gonna go into the game :banned: well, HICCUP :banned: if the :banned: HICCUP :banned: Seahawks can do it... HICCUP, HICCUP

Detroit's SB was today and they lost. They let everything hang out against a team that had many backups in.

Detroit lost a lot more than just a football game today, they proved to themselves they cannot stop a backup Qb time after time when the game was on the line.

Detroit loses easily by double digits next week.

GB showed they are a lot more than Rogers today. Their offensive line did a great job protecting the QB. Their WR's are very good. And Flynn is a damn good QB, at least when he is given time. The Lions will be able to score at will, and so will the Saints. It will come down to turnovers, mistakes, and which team can get to the QB. Certainly the Saints are better, but there is no reason Detroit can't pull off an upset by playing a great game and getting a break or two.

The earlier matchup between NO and Detroit was only 31-17 but it had the feel of a much worse blowout because the way the Lions shot themselves in the foot with unsportsmanlike conduct penalties all game and the Saints took their foot off the gas midway through the 3rd quarter. If the Lions have cleaned that stuff up, they have a chance, but to hang with the Saints in the Superdome you're going to have to score at least 42 points.

55 1/2?-QG

Dang 58 1/2 was gonna be my first guess.

10 1/2 is a big line, Saints are playing well, but that's still a little surprising.

-QG

Im gonna go with 55.

Side note, while doing our playoff pool I was offered Lions + 9.5, I didnt even check to see if anyone got injured today.
