are these therapists "treating" people that reside in other states on a remote basis and then able to send them the mushroom legally?

I think you have to acquire the shrooms on your own, then have a therapist guide your trip in a way that resolves whatever root cause of your mental health problem is.

Anderson Cooper did a 60 Minutes where he went through the whole process, albeit without actual shrooms.

I still can't imagine how this is legal ...especially across state lines where it hasn't been decriminalized.
 
Underground dispensary is open in Oakland selling shrooms. They have already been raided once and were back open within a month, don't see them closing again. They seem to have gotten around the law here.

Things are starting to happen relatively fast in this space. Still a ways off from being "mainstream" but I imagine you are going to keep seeing things like this pop off in certain geographical locations

Friend of mine was in early on legalized marijuana in California. He said that the market got saturated, margins were difficult and taxes were out of control. He moved into cultivating and selling mushrooms a few years back, which is pretty much unregulated. He's been selling chocolate bars that contain both psilocybin and a touch of DMT. Even though only Oregon and Colorado actually decriminalized it, California and Washington don't seem to care in the slightest.

Microdosing has also become very popular for sellers. I'm not sure what the dosage is to fall under regulatory restrictions, but you can buy it off facebook, twitter, etc.
