Hakeem Nicks vs Nnamdi (1 Viewer)

I am leaning toward starting Welker in place of Nicks.
Why is welker riding your bench ever?
Maybe because he has Nicks. Ever think that could be it.
Nope. Unless he is in a 20 team start 1 WR league no that never crossed my mind, and if that is the case he should be starting Welker over Nicks either way the way Brady vs Eli is playing out.Welker is a WR 1 and will likely continue to be one, Nicks is a WR 1 on paper - whether he gets there this week or next is debatable but Welker is already there.Full disclosure: I have Nicks and Welker on most of my teams and have benched neither and plan to bench neither. I considered for a second this week because I think the Giants are gonna overload the run this week but I think that in the end will help Nicks fantasy numbers.

But to be fair, when was the last time NNAMDI was tested... He only gave up 13 receptions last year but teams never threw to him. If Eli Knows he is the only guy they got he may force it to Nicks and cause Nnamdi to really cover the whole game. That being said, I can't Bench Nicks for scrubs. Nicks is the man and can pretty much beat any coverage and can outleap any defender. I say most guys are sissies and whimps who would bench him over guys like Jordy or Henderson.
Nnamdi >>>>>>> ncksI'm benching nicks for little.

Im starting Nicks along with Vjax, Welker and Stevie Johnson over:

Joseph Addai

Darren Sproles

Willis Mcgahee

Roy Helu

Davone Bess

Lance Kendricks

Likely one of these guys will outscore him, but ill take my chances against Philly, I think Bradshaw and Jacobs are gonna pound the Eagles all game and when exposed Nicks will be the recipient.

I hope im right - Start/Sit at your own risk.

Turner had more yards receiving than both Roddy and Julio last week. How often does that happen? Roddy also had 3 receptions, Julio 2. Roddy's horrible day was saved by a TD. Nnamdi just doesn't get beat very often and has shut down plenty of stud WRs. There is a reason passes don't come to his side of the field often. Nicks could have a good day, or he could get shut down which wouldn't surprise me at all.

Benching him for Branch in 1 league. Would bench him another but literally my only other option is Ochocinco so I'm stuck with Nicks.

I'd rather lose with Nicks in my lineup than start guys like Burleson and Branch today-it may not be pretty, but I fully expect Nicks to get some garbage time production. Bench him at your own peril!

Giants Homer here: I see 2 scenarios - 1. Giants are in a competitive game which means Nicks must be involved. 2. Giants get their doors blown off and Nicks gets his playing catch up.

Either way for anyone that's watched Nicks play extensively, he's more in the mold of michael irving than a TO or Moss. He rarely runs wide open, but he usually out fights defenders for position and for the ball. Eli has never been a conservative QB and will through to Nicks even when covered. Couple that with the loss of Hixon and Manningham, and I expect Eli to throw 2 picks and have a mediocre game, but Nicks will get his.

I Have him in for now, Over Tampa Mike Williams, and jags Mike Thomas. I will take my chances with Nicks. I drafted him in second round for a reason, and this week he is the only starting wideout healthy so I cant see benching him for those two. even against one of the best shutdown defenders in the game.

 Nicks is one scrappy dude, indeed. I like his chances of succeeding against Philly. Unfortunately, I only own him in 1, play against him in the other 2 today. (Roster & League Scoring available upon request. ;) )

Can't decide between my waiver wire darlings, Denarius Moore and Eric Decker vs. Nicks.

I think I'm gonna stick with Nicks, cuz I'm infatuated with the all or nothing play.

I'm sticking with Nicks over Harvin. I just can't bring myself to bench my #1 WR. Tough match-up obviously, made even tougher with Manningham out (focus on Nicks). But Eli will have to throw his way to move the ball through the air, and Nicks is damn good. Bottom line is I'd feel better if I started Nicks and he didn't do much vs. not starting Nicks and he has a good game.

Anyone contemplating sitting Nicks for Burleson? To give input to you other guys wrestling with Mike Williams and Nicks, I'd feel confidant starting MW--the game is at home and Freeman will rely on his guys
