Hakeem Nicks - WR - NYG - Questionable (1 Viewer)

YES!!!!

I turned it off and headed to work, after not seeing him in most formations and giving up on any production.

That saved a pathetic performance by manning and nicks..... I might win now unless the NO defense kicks serious butt tomorrow.

I have a feeling that Nicks was checking out this thread on the sidelines. He saw my post about being down by 5 points and couldn't let me down. He walked up to Eli and said "I got take one to the house for this guy's fantasy football team". The rest is history.

I'm not sure how anyone can be upset by someone reporting what's been said. He barely practiced, was listed as questionable, the Giants have a viable replacement for a game in Manningham, and it's a late game. Why on Earth would you have started him unless your WR cupboard was completely bare otherwise? I benched him in five leagues. Even if he started and had a big game, the chance of a goose egg made it poor lineup management unless you had Manningham, a Colts receiver, or one of the MNF options as an alternative.

thank you.

Anyone who didn't watch the game, or pay attention, it was fairly obvious that Nicks only played tonight in 3 WR sets, and obvious passing situations. If I was gonna guess, I'd say they didn't want him blocking, so decided to save him for those Passing situations.

When he was in the game, Eli was looking for him alot. Its gonna be a long week till next Sunday, and hopefully he gets back to practice in full, so we don't have to sweat it -- but I would expect things to return to normal as long as he gets in full practice.

I already see some fantasy snippets going out that "Nicks was invisible most of the night" and what not, which doesn't really tell the whole story that it appeared the injury (and missed practice) led to him playing a different role tonight....

....but still scoring :)

 Thanks for that....couldn't watch the game but appreciate the insight. Nice to hear they were just looking after that ankle....once he gets that right he should get back to his usual targets.

Or that Eli had no time to throw the entire game...Their OT's were used as turnstiles (literally, for the most part), by Mathis and Freeney. Combine that with a mindnumbingly bad defensive "gameplan" by NYG in the first half to play D with only 1 LB getting them down big early, and I give Eli a mulligan for the most part.Nicks obviously isnt hurt that bad, but I do hope this doesnt linger and he's starting next week or week 4 at the latest.
