My God, how are these women going to carry on after this.Normally not into Indians (feather or dot) but there's something about her.
I agree with you that was Calvin's motivation, but I also think it's a possible that his niece's killer is the same person that murdered Andrea.Calvin made it a point to tell Naz why he was in prison, even though Naz says he was told "never to ask" about that. His niece was murdered by her bf (ex?) in a gruesome fashion, similar to what happen to Andrea (from episode 1). Calvin even mentions his niece was about the same age as Andrea was, overtly calling out the similarities in their murder. Seems like Calvin wanted revenge because he saw Naz in the same way as the guy who killed his niece. Naz kept on trying to proclaim his innocence but Calvin didn't believe him or care.
God, I hope that doesn't turn out to be true.I agree with you that was Calvin's motivation, but I also think it's a possible that his niece's killer is the same person that murdered Andrea.
Calvin's niece's bf/killer is probably one of Freddy's boys from the hood or Freddy knows who the real killer is. This is why Freddy has taken an interest in Nas. Freddy has an incentive to keep Nas alive so the murder can be pinned to Nas if it's one of his boys or Freddy can extort the real killer to make sure Nas takes the fall.
That's my theory. I don't see what else Omar has to gain from Nas unless he's moved on from Mexicans to Pakistanis.
I'm the opposite. The prison stuff has been fascinating to watch.Caught up. Every episode has been better than the previous. Turturro is amazing.
The prison stuff I could do without just because the lawyer, investigative type stuff has been so good. Much more interested in that.
The Mom is kinda hot too.Whoever that actress playing Chandra is, is drop-dead gorgeous![]()
I am still leaning towards Nas did it.Anyone make a case for the brother doing it yet? That's my wife's theory, although when they first showed Nas she asked me if that was John Turturro, so take it with a grain of salt
Not enough blood on him to have done it imo.I am still leaning towards Nas did it.
There is a large block of time that he either can't remember, we haven't been shown yet for a reason, or he does remember and is acting a very good part. I could argue your side though in that if he did clean himself up during that dark period we probably would have seen the police in the bathroom at the house and we didn't.Not enough blood on him to have done it imo.
I don't know. If he did it and is evil enough to play this game to this date, thinking through looking like you are just panicking because you are the good kid who has never been in this situation before could be part of the plan.If he did it, he doesn't remember it or he wouldn't have run out like he did. He is starting to have some more memories which could lead to him remembering what really happened though.
Shower and dry off and remove all moisture in the shower stall with tp and flush it. BAM! No evidence of a shower. There is a large block of time that he either can't remember, we haven't been shown yet for a reason, or he does remember and is acting a very good part. I'm not married to the conclusion, I just haven't been given enough to call that possibility closed.
Close, but I actually think that it's Pops AND the brother. See Nas' brother woke up that night, was thirsty for cocoa. Went downstairs and found they were out. Well ####. So he goes to grab the keys to the taxi and finds them missing. Looks out the window, no cab. Motherf*****g Nas ain't f*****g home yet. So he rolls back upstairs, wakes up Pops and gives him the 411 on the situation. Pops heads to the ole laptop and pulls up the GPS location on his rolling cash machine, grabs a steak knife from the kitchen drawer (you haven't seen them eating steak since the murder, have you?) for protection because you can't trust noone to have your back on the street, a hard lesson his son is about to learn.Anyone make a case for the brother doing it yet? That's my wife's theory, although when they first showed Nas she asked me if that was John Turturro, so take it with a grain of salt
We saw him wake up in the kitchen and totally freak out when he saw her.I don't know. If he did it and is evil enough to play this game to this date, thinking through looking like you are just panicking because you are the good kid who has never been in this situation before could be part of the plan.
I saw a flash in the E5 preview where they're reviewing tape from the gas station, if he doesn't come up then I think he gets ruled out at that point, or we learn more. The killer is definitely someone we have seen on the show already. I think the stepfather is a red herring, as they are making it a point to make him look like a loose cannon from the funeral scene and his flip-flopping on the pictures he saw when questioned by the police. He definitely is a hot head, but I highly doubt he is person who actually killed Andrea.
I think it could be either one of the two guys that harassed Nas on the street, but leaning towards the guy they ended up taking in for questioning. These guys were definitely not from the neighborhood, and could be connected to Freddy somehow.
The only other people I can think of is the guy who called in the break-in. He seemed to watching pretty intently from his window that night and not sure you hear someone breaking a window across the street, while you are fast asleep. The other guy would be the guy at the gas station with the hearse vehicle. He seemed to follow them when they left, but the camera didn't really pan back on his car after that.
They swabbed his winkus, presumably there is evidence of intercourse with the victim.Apple Jack said:Shower and dry off and remove all moisture in the shower stall with tp and flush it. BAM! No evidence of a shower.
Only if Stone "unexpectedly" tosses Naz a ball, right after establishing the killer was right-handed during a cross-examination...Rewatched the first two episodes yesterday... noticed that Nas is left-handed during a scene from his calculus class. Perhaps this proves useful later on.

The old Mike Brady tactic.Only if Stone "unexpectedly" tosses Naz a ball, right after establishing the killer was right-handed during a cross-examination...
Another item of note... the police broke the chain-of-custody by sending evidence outside of protocol. Also could prove useful later on.Thanks, Monk.Rewatched the first two episodes yesterday... noticed that Nas is left-handed during a scene from his calculus class. What is that from?Only if Stone "unexpectedly" tosses Naz a ball, right after establishing the killer was right-handed during a cross-examination...
I think he has to be involved. He knocked on the window and said something like "you don't want to be my next passenger" or something close to that. Was he just being racist because she was with a Muslim or does he know more about her?The other guy would be the guy at the gas station with the hearse vehicle. I think it was because she was smoking.I think he has to be involved. He knocked on the window and said something like "you don't want to be my next passenger" or something close to that. Was he just being racist because she was with a Muslim or does he know more about her?

I doubt it, but I could totally see the gut punch of him being acquited, going back home, and in the final moments being killed by a friend or partner in crime of someone from jail that hated him. Shakespeare type stuff.Anyone think Naz doesn't live to see the end of the show? Someone mentioned that to me yesterday, I don't see it at all.
Yah she was smoking and flicked a lit(?) butt out of the window in a gas station.I thought it was just because she was smoking.
I think it will come back to when she said she did not want to be alone that night - or some such thing. She was already in trouble before she ever met Naz.
Plus doesn't the step dad ride a motorcycle? Didn't a motorcycle pull up next to Nas at the red light and then take off right before Nas made the illegal left that got him pulled over?Someone she knew did it. That much is certain.
The cat being let out....she forget to lock that door. There was no signs of any forced entry....accept when Naz made that stupid (one of many stupid) decision to smash the front door glass to get back into the house. The killer got in either through that door, or they already had a key (family member). I am locked in on the step dad and whomever he was arguing with at the funeral.
He would have been covered in blood if he had murdered her. There was blood splattered everywhere on the wall, bed...crazy amount of blood. It does not add up and the lead detective knows it. He knows in his heart something is very off.
I think his alliance in prison is one of survival. The motive of his protector is one of higher learning. He thinks Naz can teach him.
I am looking forward to this case being tried by both the young Indian girl and Stone working together. Stone is more of a Private Detective now and gathering evidence to help get Naz exonerated of the charges.

This would be interesting, but not realistic.Someone she knew did it. That much is certain.

That's the name of my Nickelback tribute band.I hope most of you get a cup of Swiss Miss and baby oil thrown on you.
I'm enjoying it much more than you but this is a fair criticism. I just don't get it. If it's supposed to warm us to the character, it accomplished that within the first episode so I think we're ready to move on. If it somehow ties into the case, :eyeroll:. We'll see.I'll finish this but it's not very good. Wouldn't recommend. Too much other good stuff out there.
25% of the show is literally about Turturro's feet. That is not an exaggeration. Their is more suspense to whether his eczema get's cleared than Naz.
