What info? Westeros.org recaps?Where can you find this info?
Yeah. I remember it being posted her before (I think) but I couldnt find it.What info? Westeros.org recaps?Where can you find this info?
I remember it being much less obvious what was about to happen though. People in the non-book thread were calling it after the second episode. I forget exactly why it was a surprise in the books though. Does anyone remember?I remember reading about the unsullied and Dany acquiring the army and thinking that is pretty badace. However actually seeing it play out last night and then that scene at the end with the armies walking out and the dragons overhead was so cool to watch. They nailed it.

I think it may have been the reactions and thoughts around giving up a dragon. It seemed like it was going to happen...I remember it being much less obvious what was about to happen though. It's a touchy subject, but I had the choice of showing my dong or getting more lines.Hodor>Hi
You're not getting enough "lines" in the tv series imo.
Also, the tv show focused on "So they will do whatever I say as soon as they are mine..."I think it may have been the reactions and thoughts around giving up a dragon. I thought while reading that the dragons were too small to do much damage with the fire. I think they were dog or goat sized (which was correct on TV) and I was under the impression they needed to be much larger to set the whole slave market ablaze.I remember it being much less obvious what was about to happen though. Laugh at that thread all the time...but avoid posting in it. Let them speculate.ADWD SPOILERS
Anyone else laughing at the non-book readers? They all think Dany is just going to conquer Westeros now that she has an army. Little did they know...
Do I recall correctly that Tormund did not climb the wall in the books? You are correct
Agreed. Nice addition by the series.I thought the Tyrion and Varys scene was awesome!
Try your public library. Seriously. They probably have all of them.Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap copy of the audiobooks?
In the preview comments for next week one says "Robb is betrayed"....by Bolton I'm assuming? At this point in the show nothing else comes to mind, unless they squeeze the red-wedding in there

Yep, especially after the end of Swords. They seem to be playing up the whole Varys vs Littlefinger angle on the shows moreso than the book, too.Serious question for the readers here -
Does anyone else suspect that the "game" of Westeros is only being played between Varys and Littlefinger?
I keep going back and forth on this. Varys being the "good guy" who's protecting the realm, and Littlefinger being an agent of chaos and self-interest alone.

If anything they're in this together IMO. Varys always wants whats "good for the realm"....maybe thats having Little Finger rule?Serious question for the readers here -

1and 2 are covered in the preview for the next ep.Kissed by Fire I expect to have
Jon Snow and Igritte hook up; thoros bring beric back; and possibly mellisandre kidnap gendry who replaced edrick storm in the story.
Really like this point. They are the only major players that don't have to worry about family politics, therefore in a better position to see a couple steps ahead and look at the whole playing field instead of just a fraction of it.Serious question for the readers here -

Just did this. Was able to download them straight from my library's website. Nice!Try your public library. Seriously. They probably have all of them.Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap copy of the audiobooks?
How did you do that and what did you download them to? I never read the first book and this would be great while I'm in the car or "busy" at work.Just did this. Well the link wouldn't open up at work do our firewall, but my library's website linked me to here. I'm assuming once I get home, I can just click and download it. Are you reading the same books? There's absolutely zero chance of this. These two are as opposite forces as opposite get.If anything they're in this together IMO. Varys always wants whats "good for the realm"....maybe thats having Little Finger rule?Serious question for the readers here -

I was just throwing stuff out there for the sake of discussion. I dont think LF would even want the Iron Throne and the kind of attention that brings. Are you reading the same books? There's absolutely zero chance of this. These two are as opposite forces as opposite get. Leeroy> Varys has said several times he's motivated by the good of "the realm." This is why he liked Ned Stark, why he opposed Stanis taking the throne (because of Melisandre), and why he has secretly sided with Daenarys to take over. The last, btw, is why he murdered Tywin's brother at the end of the last book. Because he knows without him, Cersei will continue to turn the people against the Lannisters, making things ripe for Daenarys to reclaim the throne and restore Westeros to its former glory. Littlefinger's secret reason is selfish gain & power. Hope I don't need to analyze this one. It's pretty obvious, IMO. I mean, he ran the crown into massive debt for his own political gain. The guy is a villainous as it gets. And kinda creepy. If anything they're in this together IMO. LF is definately angling for the Iron Throne. He may not care about actually ruling, just getting there to show everybody up.I was just throwing stuff out there for the sake of discussion. Why don't we just stick a spoiler tag at the beginning of the thread and at the end of the thread. You can't hardly talk about anything on this entire board without them. Does your local public library website have a digital download section? Mine is great for audiobooks and kindle books. Popular books may not be immediately available and you may be put on a waiting list due to the limited number of digital copies they have. For audiobooks, there are mp3 and wma versions of different books, and I download and manage them with OverDrive Media Console. mp3 has no drm, but you are supposed to delete them after they expire (21 days for me). wma has drm built in. All the Song of Ice and Fire audiobooks I got were already mp3, so no problem there. They are long so they end up taking up a lot of space. How did you do that and what did you download them to? I never read the first book and this would be great while I'm in the car or "busy" at work.Just did this. Was able to download them straight from my library's website. Nice!Try your public library. Totally. More Game of Thrones/Song of Fire & Ice threads is exactly what we need. I always wanted to take over the first page. /LittlefingerCanuckNot that it is practical, but what is needed is a thread per book. Too easy to spoil stuff for a lot of people. Think I am just going to avoid this thread until I get through book 5.

Are you guessing on #3 or has it been confirmed HBO is making that change?Kissed by Fire I expect to have

Are you guessing on #3 or has it been confirmed HBO is making that change?Guessing, but I'm not the only person to have that thought. Think of what she said when leaving Stannis and who we have and have not met yet. His story gets wasted in the books really, so unless grrm has more for us later, it works with a character we know about probably better than how written in the books anyway.Swing 51 said:Kissed by Fire I expect to have
