Speculation: Which Northerners might be plotting to rise up and retake Winterfell in the name of Starks.
Or did I miss something far more interesting and revealing?
I know. That's boring and obvious.Better title:

That's boring and obvious. The writer actually did a very good job of backing up his claims that everyone is in on it with a lot of book excerpts and some speculation & leaps of faith.Agreed but the whole lynchpin seems to be the scene where Robb names Jon his heir. Considering this was cut out of the show, I'm struggling to think it is going to play a huge role going forward.

It's not like the Northmen have to follow the rules to get what they want. Plus, Jon can always be legitimized by the King......and if the rumors about Jon's lineage are true......being a Stark takes a backseat to being a Targeryan.

Plus, Jon can always be legitimized by the King......and if the rumors about Jon's lineage are true......being a Stark takes a backseat to being a Targeryan. He is only a Targ if Rhaegar and Lyanna actually wed. Otherwise, he should probably be a Sand and not a Snow. That said, I don't think the Great Northern Conspiracy is true. The actions of Lord Wyman Manderly in ADWD don't support that line of reasoning.
Manderly obviously hates the Freys and the Boltons (hell, he kills the Freys and the serves them to everyone in pies to eat). If he was part of the conspiracy to remove the Boltons and put Jon Snow/Stark back in Winterfell he wouldn't have told Davos to go find Rickon and Osha.
If Jon was legitimized, yes, he's the next oldest male heir.I've not read the theory, but is the thinking that by Robb's actions, Jon has leapfrogged all of the Stark kids in terms of being the rightful lawful heir? Robb's main goal was to make sure Sansa would not have the right to put her husband in the throne at Winterfell. Is Sansa older than Jon? Does that mean that even if Bran, Rickon, Sansa, etc were to make a claim, that they are now behind Jon in terms of heir rights?
Manderly will accept Stannis as the King if Davos finds and brings back Rickon....that's a little more in line with his loyalty to the Starks than simply wanting Stannis to legitimize Jon.But The North *has* a Stark if Jon was legitimatized. If he wasn't, accepting Stannis as a king and letting him legitimatize Jon accomplishes the exact same thing. Sending off Davos and withholding support (when time is of the essence) in the hopes that he *might* find Rickon on an island supposedly filled with cannibals is stupid. Rally support behind Jon and take Winterfell before the Boltons can make it *their* stronghold.
That's worked out well so far...Remember that if the Northern lords want a king in the North, that king only needs the support of his lords.
It's weird. Is that a different actor portraying Daario? I do not approve.
He did. She must of been a hot babe tempted both Rheagar and Robert.Red Viper referenced Rhaegar's relationship with Lyanna?

Whats the question?Saying the mountain killed Elia?
Never mind. I was thinking about lyanna.Whats the question?Saying the mountain killed Elia?
I cant remember where i saw that rumor, but i wasnt surprised when he started up with the dude. I cant remember anything from the books myself.Never mind. I was thinking about lyanna.Whats the question?Saying the mountain killed Elia?
Was Oberyn into dudes in the book?
I think he was described in the book as not really discriminating between dudes and girls. Could be wrong though.I cant remember where i saw that rumor, but i wasnt surprised when he started up with the dude. I cant remember anything from the books myself.Never mind. Partly - but it was mainly because of something that Rhaegar read that convinced him that he needed to have more children - and Elia IIRC wasn't strong enough to have more children. He did. She must of been a hot babe tempted both Rheagar and Robert.Red Viper referenced Rhaegar's relationship with Lyanna?
Yes, this was mentioned by Jaime I think - but only as a rumor. He brought it up because Oberyn Martell was one of the possible matches Tywin was considering for Cersei to remarry.I think he was described in the book as not really discriminating between dudes and girls. They're obviously going the jilted lover route with herKraft... said:I hate Shae! I find the actress playing her increasingly annoying also, I guess she's doing a good job.
I thought the inn scene was cool, especially the end
In the books, wasn't The Hound gravely wounded during that scene?sn0mm1s said:I wasn't too happy with the Arya and Hound scene at the inn. It is probably my favorite scene in the books (although the new chapter on GRRM's site rivals it) and it just didn't feel the same.

Really surprised at what is being talked about/shown. Even stuff they show in the Season previews in the magazines, etc.. are giving a lot of really leading hints. Why didn't we like the Arya scene?
Apparently there are lady Stoneheart subway posters. Pretty big spoiler by HBO.
