I said Smith by a little because while he might be behind Green athletically, his veteran savvy is undeniable. Not saying Green isn't savvy for a rookie but he's nowhere near where Smith is. Then again, as good as Dalton has been I'd be interested to see how well Green would do in that offense with Newton trusting him as much as he trusts Smith. This poll tells me that not enough people in the SP have seem Green play yet. Nothing more and nothing less.

Because it's about their ability on the field, not just their stats. I'm sure anyone just looking at the stat line would vote for Smith and think it's not close. This poll tells me that not enough people in the SP have seem Green play yet. Smith leads him in virtually every receiving category (except 1)...by a lot. Not sure how this poll is actually close.
Obviously the question is asking about talent and not stats. Also, Green missed a game and a half and is on a much more conservative offense. This poll tells me that not enough people in the SP have seem Green play yet. The questions has nothing to do with talent just who is the better WR THIS SEASON. I'm sure going forward Green is better by a mile but this season Smith is the better WR.Because it's about their ability on the field, not just their stats. None of that matters. Who is the better NFL WR this season. All those factors you listed shouldn't be in your head when you make a decision.'CompetitiveEdgeFootball said:I like Green... Smith had a good season, and he did it with a rookie QB. But Green also had a good season, also with a rookie QB, but he himself also had a huge learning curve to overcome, learn the WR position on a pro level, and still perform like a top 15 WR. Smith had years of pro experience under his belt. The sky is the limit for AJ Green and his monstrous potential.

You're right. Next time I'll make my decision by throwing darts at a board instead of thinking my answer though. Moron.None of that matters. Who is the better NFL WR this season. All I was pointing out was if you're using stats to compare talent that Green has missed a game and a half which hurts his stats. How does missing a game make a player worse than another player? The question isn't who is the better fantasy receiver so owning either player shouldn't add bias.If Green missed a game and half and Smith didn't, how is Green a better NFL WR this season?'shnikies said:Obviously the question is asking about talent and not stats. I own neither WR in any league I am in - but it is clear some of you own Green and will defend this lost point with smoke and mirrors until the cows come home.
