How 'bout them Reds! (4 Viewers)

Also, they have been doing a deal where you can take your Reds ticket into the Casino downtown for a free buffet. You may want to go off hours to beat the line, but the food is amazing and free.

Heading to Cincy this weekend with some buddies to catch a couple of Reds games. Anything we should know about GAB? Good restaurants or bars in the area (we are staying just across the river in Ky.)? Also will be wanting to find a decent spot to camp and watch the Bruins-Blackhawks Game 2 on Saturday night.
Pregame, the banks right by the stadium has great options. For eating and drinking, Christian Moerlein lager house or the Yardhouse are great. If you just want a bud light and a million people for the atmosphere, Holy Grail is the biggest hangout pre and postgame.

Nobody here will care about the hockey game, but there is a sportsbar every few feet and I'm sure they'll have it on. Typical options, BW3/Hooters/etc. There is also Rock Bottom Brewery on fountain square which shows some games right downtown.

For the Kentucky side, Haufbrauhaus late on Friday or Saturday night right before you crash IMO.
 Thanks, GB. Pretty much in line with everything I've heard so far.

Brothers is a pretty cool sports bar at Newport on the Levee. Might be a good place for Saturday night too if you want to stay closer to your hotel. Also, the new Horseshoe Casino opened a few months ago in downtown Cincy. Haven't been there but it might be worth checking out.

Took my dad, brother-in-law, and nephew to see the Reds and Pirates last night for Fathers Day. Great night at the park as the weather held off. 4 solo home runs (including Votto and Bruce) plus a Chapman save. Only thing that could have been better would have been for my nephew to catch a foul ball, but he did snag a t-shirt that was thrown into the crowd.

It was my dad's first trip to the new park and he was impressed, although he about choked when he saw them selling bottled water for $5.50. He told stories about games and players he had watched at old Crosley Field. No doubt the best Fathers Day gift I've come up with in a while.

How bout them reds! The dirtiest chicken sh@@ team in the league. Dont just pitch inside but go head hunting. This BS with them throwing at mccutcheon's head every time pirates play reds needs to have repercussions. Hurdle BETTER have someone hit either votto or phillips up high tonight. Dusty baker is a piece of garbage, i would have one "slip" out of my hand into the dugout at his head.

Wonder if things will get interesting tonight. I understand why Chapman brushed Swisher back, but was probably too close to the head.
Because Asdrubal had issue with the home plate ump? I didn't know pitchers took such issue with that. Unless there is another reason.

Why throw upstairs twice then, isn't once enough?
My guess is that the first was unintentional, but the second was due to Swisher's reaction to the first.[/quote)case in point, chicken sh@@ actions from couple weeks ago brought up by your own fans in this thread.

You're aware that the Pirates have hit 8 Reds batters and hurt Phillips last time we played by throwing at him right? The Pirates do get thrown at a lot. There is a reason.

I have no problem admitting the Reds do too much of this crap. Of all the players that have been hit by Reds, I honestly don't care at all about the Pirates. They have hit 37 batters this year and had 2 of the most blatantly intentional HBPs the Reds have faced all year in the same inning when they threw at Phillips and Frazier. O well. We'll see what happens.

If you're keeping score, the Pirates have now hit 37 batter and 8 Reds. The Reds have hit 24 batters and 6 Pirates.

Are you kidding me, this is your argument! It's the head hunting by aroldis the refugee chapstick. He is a punk bi@@@ because he knows he won't have to hit. He did it again to walker last night, and. We should have charged the mound and look to seriously hurt chapman.

You're right. Your argument seem way more rational than stats about the Pirates hitting everyone. :lmao:

apparantly you dont understand, go look up some stats.

Shock, Pirates hit Choo on the first pitch. Not like Pirates have hit more Reds this year or lead majors in pitchers throwing HBP like cheese said. Hey irish, get a fking clue. Let us know when the Pirates become relevant and can put it together for a whole season and actually have a winning record.

Should be a fun rivalry over the next 2-3 years. Agree that the Pirates are not relevant yet (but it's coming soon).

It's better for you if I don't. Stats won't back up your fabricated premise that the Pirates are victims who are finally standing up for themselves.

Good job adding another intentional beanball to your league leading total last night though. At least it's making a series against the Pirates interesting.

Anyway, thought it was pretty funny how blatantly mad Latos was about being pinch hit for before he retaliated last night. Today might be fun, but pretty sure you have time to avoid anything Arroyo throws at you.

Not much at all, but you have to admit the dude pretty much came over here and took a #### in our thread. You don't see any of us over in the Pirates thread ranting about this.

Just to mirror the action on the field, maybe you should. And then the next day, one of us will come over here and do it. And then the next day, one of you go over there and do it. And then the next day...

Did somebody break all the HD cameras at Fox Sports Ohio? It seems like the last three games I've tried to watch have all been n standard def only.

With Larussa and Carpenter not around, I don't dislike the Cardinals nearly as much. Molina only pisses me off because he is too damn good against the Reds.

Coming to you LIVE, from a seat in Turner Field, right next to the Reds pen. This #### show of a game and performance suck.

This umpire tonight is really squeezing the top half of the strike zone. Belt-high , right down the middle is maybe a 50-50 chance of being a strike here late.

Ya, not playing good baseball right now. Baserunning + defense have really let us down.

We will probably need 4 of the last 5 H2h games against the Cards to have a realistic shot at winning the division. Cueto and Cingrani going down has really hurt. Hoover and Parra might be spent.

The good news is the wild card spot still looks secure and playoffs are a crapshoot anyway.
