For me, it's easy to tell if the right has gone too far.  If someone spouts racial or ethnic superiority, they've gone too far.

On the left, it's harder to tell.  It's obvious that the left can go too far and that's visible from the 10s of millions who died under far left regimes in the 20th century.  However, how can you tell when they've gone too far?

Both sides go too far when they categorize entire swaths of the population based on arbitrary extremes on the political spectrum.

Very, very few people are so monolithic in their views.

Rather than trying to identify when " the left" goes too far, you'd do better trying to understand what motivates individuals.

It was a thread where the primary purpose was to mock Donald Trump. At least be remotely objective. It lasted for years. 

A similar thread mocking Joe Biden lasted a month I think. 

Allowing the Trump thread to go that long was a failure on my part.

No, everyday is more shocking than the rest, not worse, due to Trump interjecting himself into every news cycle. Gussy had stopped updating the thread title and was asked to change it to simply "Trump News Thread" as it was no longer current (like 6 months old) and out of spite he changed it to be "every day is more shocking than the rest."

I just can't see people being that bothered by Biden being mocked.  In the 'Lets Go Brandon' thread, it seems like their were only a couple Dems bothered by it.  The Dems are way less attached to Biden than the Republicans were with Trump.

Had not watched his show in a couple years and was blown away a few weeks ago when he met his 1st guest and told him to his face the GOP was going to kick their ### in the midterms, that got my attention. Maher is usually truthful about the reality of situations even when it doesn't side with his personal political views.
