Nobody will remember that if Taylor doesn't bobble it in center none of the circus happens after. 

Glad i stayed up tho. That was fun. 

 
Sick to my stomach. Brutal loss. Such a terrible 1-2 pitch by KJ to a Mendoza banjo hitter. If you can’t overpower that guy you are a terrible closer. Friedman and Roberts squirming. They had ONE weakness all year that could cost them a championship. ONE. All year. And they didn’t address it. Yeah tons of miscues on last play but a real closer doesn’t throw it 89 or whatever down the middle. Cutter that doesn’t cut. Have to make him chase one 1-2 and test his nerves. Just pathetic 

 
That's one of the worst losses I've ever seen. 2 outs, 1-2 count on a .196 hitter. You have to work hard to #### that up.

The bold is the point.  In that situation after getting a couple borderline strike calls that guy is going to open up his swing zone.  The 1-2 pitch should have been nowhere even close to hittable. 

 
I'm glad they changed the scoring overnight. I did some NCAA official scoring while in college, and I was having a spirited exchange with some friends before falling asleep about the fact they originally charged only Taylor with an error. Some were saying that the only reason Arozarena tried to score is because of that bobble, but I countered that he actually started heading back to third and it was Smith missing the ball that allowed him to score. I didn't believe Smith should be let off the hook just because there was another error elsewhere.

They finally charged errors to Taylor (which also allowed Phillips to go to second even before the throw) AND Smith (allowing the winning run to score).

After watching football all day the thing I love so much more about baseball is I don’t have to wait to be excited about a play because there might be a freaking flag. 
 

 
Dammit I missed the ending of the last game and really don't want to make the same mistake tonight.  Can't they start these games a little earlier for us east coast folks?
