I have tutored this kid for 4 years. He is very musically gifted and seems to me to be an amazing drummer for a high school kid. However, I am not a drumming expert. So people who have more knowledge on drumming than I, please let me know kind of potential this kid has.

He's good, but not as good as he thinks he is.

His timing is far superior. That's the most important thing.

Yeah, Amir (drummer) is in 2 different bands and they both have some amazingly good musicians for teens. They regularly jam with the older blues and funk musicians in Detroit. They just can't get any good gigs because they are too young to play clubs.
