I have no idea why they needed to revisit the whole Ted-Robin thing.

Because they are out of ideas and need to stretch things out before revealing the mother and ending the show.

I do wish they would just intro the mother and work it into the show rather than do the "Lost" drag it out plots.

I agree with this - but Barney has to get married first right? So we aren't even close to that. Unless Barney marries Robin in some quick fit.

I agree that Ted-Robin, while at one point a relationship everyone wanted to happen, now just isn't something anyone wants to see. We want to see Robin and Barney.

The problem with this show, as with all comedies, is that the jokes are old and stale.

It used to crack us up when we heard "legen----wait for it-----dary, LEGENDARY". Now they try to put lots of words in between, trying desperately to keep the joke alive. Either keep using the same joke or get a new one.

In essence, we've gotten to the point where we are no longer just laughing at these guys, but now we want to see how their lives turn out. So when a humorous episode happens, we complain that the plot wasn't moved along. When a plot moving episode happens, we complain that it's not funny.

Most shows are never at their best at the end, that's just life. Can't think of too many shows that went out on top. Enjoy the show for what it is, as it's still a pretty funny show.

Also, Robin's hair is awful. She's still really pretty, but the haircut is gross. But she's still a great character, as are all of them. Saying Barney is the only good character is a joke.

I really loved Robin in the first few seasons - but it does seem that they have tried to make her look unattractive for some reason. Its strange. The early seasons this was one of my faves...then Zoey came and it hit the wall. I still like it - my favorite is the Marshall/Lily interaction followed by Barney. Not a fan of Ted or Robin....Drunk Train was a good retro type episode....then they had to ruin it at the end!

I still see many similarities to Friends. Robin has always been the hotter of the group, just like Rachel was. Towards the end, Monica was hotter, like Lilly is here.

I hate Robin's haircut

The combination of her hair and awful clothes sparked a bit of a debate last night between the wife and I. I am of the impression that they are trying to make Robin look like the goofy Canuck she portrays, and that the bad hair, and lack of fashion sense is done intentionally to further the stereotype and that the actress is actually quite pretty. My wife is under the impression that the actor who plays Robin is simply an ugly skank.

I'm torn, I don't think she is as hot as many make her out to be but she is attractive obviously. I just don't know what is going on there.

Too many things about "that apartment was hers" or the umbrella or she was in a class and so on for them to be Marshall and Lilly's kids.And he has called them uncle marshall and aunt lilly as well.

In the episode with Robin's kids, the narrator refers to Robin in the past tense at the end, something like, "robin never had kids, but she was never alone"). Coupled with the fact that she is never in any of the future scenes, I'm guess something tragic happens or they have some other twist planned for her character.

$1 to rent a movie at redbox?not to mention this movie is old enough that the lame cable version has been on TV SEVERAL times.... it's like a 2007 movie, and in fact a franchise at it is on its 3rd movieIf you haven't heard of it then i'm guessing you're over 40, not cool, or in fact, living under a rock.

Right. The characters have become caricatures of themselves......but the caricature is lame because of the fact that they've saddled these characters with "growing up" problems. Let's face it. When you hit your 30's, get married, have kids, move away from the all-nighters, bar scences etc. etc.....you cease to be fun and actually become quite lame.
