I think I know the answer but I wanted to ask as I'm comparing.

On a scale of 1 (not at all) to 10 (can not wait) how interested are you in tonight's NFL kickoff?

I can't watch football without an ulterior motive anymore. FF is that motive (besides betting when I am able to). Practically 0 without FF consideration, 8-9 with FF consideration.

If you post on a Fantasy Football message board and choose anything other than 10, you can't be trusted bro.
Thursday night opening is a tease, and now the friday night game is a joke imo

opening day sunday used to feel like christmas.

We host our draft tonight, game will be on in the background.

I preferred way back when when opening games were on Sunday. Having one game on opening day isn't nearly as exciting as a whole slate of games on Sunday.
Agreed. But if your the NFL why just dominate ratings on one day when you can dominate on three.

Regardless of the reason, which we know is money, having opening day on Sunday was always better. I guess the exception is if your team is playing on Thursday.

I don't know if it's just the matchup or something else, but I'm not nearly as excited as normal for tonight's game. However, I am extremely excited for Sunday! I'm also pretty bummed about tomorrow's game being on Peacock which I'm not going to subscribe to, so I'm probably taking some of my frustration with that out on tonight's game as well.

I put a "1"..... sick of the chiefs, wish it was literally any of the 30 other teams against the Ravens... don't want to watch them, don't want to hear about how great Mahomes is, don't want to see them in the playoffs or the superbowl for atleast 5 years.

Funny how they get called for holding a lot during the regular season, and were the 6th most penalized team last year, and had the most offensive holding calls last year during the regular season, but somehow in the playoffs the "Chiefs consistently had fewer penalties than their opponents throughout the playoffs.", and didn't have any offensive holding calls in the superbowl🤔🤔. They have never once had a single holding call against them in the 3 straight superbowls.

So yeah no thanks I want to watch football not whatever that is...

I am a panthers fan btw...

An opening game with Mahomes versus Lamar is exciting for both real and fantasy football. Multiple future HOFers, still playing at all-pro level. Mahomes, Jackson, Henry, Kelce, Tucker.

After a cruel summer for the Chiefs, it's time to shake it off.

Yeah, poor Chiefs

For the folks not interested. Would be interested to know why?
I’m interested, but just mildly. I’ll watch the game. I do have Worthy going in two leagues, so that peaks my interest, just not as much as it used to. Besides, I hate it when the Chiefs play well.

I love all the different opinions.

I couldn't disagree more but I love the other thoughts.

Thursday night opener is a perfect way to start the season in my opinion.

Sick of the chiefs "being good". They were fun to watch like 5 years ago before the NFL wore out this broken record. It's like this decade's annoying Patriots... So many other good teams I'd rather watch, and exciting young players to watch.

Lions would have been awesome since they should have beaten the 49ers anyways with what could have been a much better superbowl to watch last year. The Falcons with a new team and head coach would have been cool, or I'd even be interested in seeing the Bears with the #1 pick, and all the changes they have made on offense and defense. I know a lot of this is marketing, ratings, and viewership... but Chiefs are not interesting at all anymore to watch lol

with that being said I hope the Ravens beat up on them... I am a Panthers fan (we have the worst owner and franchise in football now... so not a dog in this fight lol)

I never was a fan of opening one present on Christmas Eve. That’s one less present for Christmas Day.

But doesn't that make for a perfect match against a team like Baltimore?

Not for me personally. I didn't think the Chiefs should have won two years ago against the Eagles. The Eagles were the far superior team that year, and than somehow they win again last year when the Ravens were the best team in football all year. I would much rather see another very competitive team like the Packers or Lions against the Ravens as a potential superbowl preview, or even the Texans as a playoff game preview.

Football is at it's best when there is diversity each year at the top, and when there is great defensive play (I know we aren't getting that anytime soon with all the rule changes). It's like watching college football when Nick Saban was the coach in Alabama, you already know what's coming and it takes the fun out of watching big games if you aren't a Chiefs fan

With that being said I am PUMPED about Sunday!!

Yes, it is a fantasy football message board and I've got no one going tonight so I voted less than 10.

Now if it were just a football message board, you better take it to 11 bruh.

Voted 7. I'm reasonably excited and hoping it's a good game but I hate that it's on a Thursday night. I will likely head to bed in the early 3rd quarter.

I voted 3. I was actually watching the Phillies over this until that game ended. Now the NFL has decided to put my team on Friday night. I'll be excited for that game, maybe a 7 or 8, and then totally let down for Sunday now that my team isn't playing on that day, and my excitement level will be back down to a 3 for opening weekend. Good news, my team will be playing the next Sunday . . . oh wait, they're playing on Monday Night. So another Sunday without my favorite team playing. NFL really knows how to screw up a schedule.

Pigs get fat, hogs go to slaughter. NFL, you are definitely on your way to slaughter.

The team that wins the Super Bowl gets the first game of opening night at home. The NFL has their agendas, but the Chiefs playing on the first night of the season isn't one of them.

Don't want them in the game? Beat them the year before.
