How Is This Rape? (1 Viewer)

Grey Rape? Maybe some hotshot attorney needs to come up with some sort of form to filled out by both parties claiming legal/consensual sex. Maybe that would hold up in court? Maybe a iphone app?

true story, in all seriousness.

in college i went to a party and there was a girl there drinking with us, she and i end up going at it sometime around midnight. She takes off, and i go back home. Next morning one of my buddies who was also at the party and I are talking and I said' you remember that girl last night, i tagged her' He looks at me like confused and said "the blonde one?" i'm like "yep" he says, "i ####ed her too, what time did you #### her?" I'm like right around midnight, i can see his brain working and then hes frowning and I start laughing and go "well looks like you got sloppy seconds dude."

fast forward a month or so, this girl apparently has an on-off-on-off boyfriend that lives across the street that I happen to know socially. I had no idea this was one of his "chicks" but it didn't really matter anyhow since he wasn't exactly the one girl type anyhow. Turns out she's accusing him of raping her. He knew about me and my buddy screwing her and asked if we'd speak on his behalf to the dean of students.

It was kind of embarassing, we go into the deans office, shut the door and he asks us about our encounter with this girl, we just relay the whole evening like we're talking about going to a movie or something, and that was the end of the story. Turned out she was being expelled from school due to her grades slipping and this was her last gasp to stay.

the sad thing is, for all I know, this guy could have raped her and maybe she was telling the truth. I mean, I highly doubt it, but you never know.

Women begin abusing divorce
RESULT: Marriage rates plummet as guys decide it's not worth it.
REACTION: Women whine that men no longer want to "date" or "commit".

Women now begin abusing rape law
RESULT: Men demand legally binding proof of consent prior to sex
REACTION: Women whine that men have taken the romance out of sex

Female logic at play... shoot self in foot, then whine that the carpet is bloody.

Weird that a guy needs to prove something that can't be proved (in any reasonable situation at least), rather than there actually being proof of rape. I mean, wat???
fair enough. My initial response assumed both were proven - (a) raped, with the assailant convicted, (b) "proven" innocent - meaning not convicted and while your name would be drug through the mud, in the end you would prevail in the lawsuits and hearings.

falsely convicted I can see being worse, maybe.

I've known people on both sides of this, from what I can tell the falsely accused generally fare better - but that's assuming no conviction.
Falsely accused but not convicted can still be very, very bad.

But the two I was comparing were a real rape vs a false accusation that leads to serious consequences.

No, cause then the girl would claim the guy forced her to sign it.

iphone app would be much better. Two passwords, one for yes, and one for no. If the guy is truly raping her and forcing her to use the password, she uses the "he is actually raping me" password.

Then again, she could just use that password anyway to get back at the guy.

They just dont want people doing it. Or lawmakers want all gay couples.

The problem is rape has been largely ignored or treated like "boys will be boys" for far too long. As usual when the pendulum swings the other way it goes way out there. It will come back toward the center soon enough.

Genius, if she's drunk she'll forget the password

Maybe 20 years ago but I think most people have been anti rape for a while now.
