How many have dropped Carson Palmer (redraft) ? (1 Viewer)

Is there much hope anyway, even if he comes back sometime after the elbow situation? You hear he could be ir'd, then hear that they could keep him out the next two games which follow with a bye. That's 3 weeks without him. You definitely don't want to start him after the bye, even if he comes back, so that you can monitor how he looks. Lastly, having said all of that, he looked bad or average in the games he did play this year. Thoughts?

Just did for Avery.

Bungles are 0-6.

I just can't see a good reason to bring him back if his elbow is still a problem.

For those of us with week 17 championships he's hard to drop. He plays the chiefs at home and will almost definitely be 100% by then.

I think you're being overly optimistic, I think there's a decent chance he gets Tommy John'd and is done for the year.I'm still holding onto him as my backup, but he's the next on the chopping block.

I just got rid of him yesterday. Picked him up off waivers 2 weeks ago. Wish I didn't use my waiver position on that.

Dropped him last week in order to keep Titan defence and pick up JETS defence. This week I picked up Anderson instead of him.

As a TJ Housh owner, I'm still holding out hope. According to John Clayton of ESPN, Palmer is likely to avoid Tommy Johns surgery - It just shouldn't be a factor due to the nature of the injury it sounds: John Clayton's Blog

At the same time, I'm not sure how to interpret this:

Palmer on Thursday reiterated that there was no news when he briefly spoke to reporters. But, when asked if Altchek's findings reinforced what Palmer already knew, he said no.

"Monday I found out some information that I wasn't expecting. I'm just trying to get as many opinions as I can," Palmer said.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis on Wednesday said that specialists have recommended rest for Palmer.

"Right now, surgery is not an option," Lewis said.

Palmer, who has been wearing a brace on his right arm all week, said he's awaiting more medical opinions. When asked how concerned he was that his elbow might not improve without surgery, he said he wouldn't comment.

"Nothing's changed," Palmer said.

Palmer was asked about the sentiment of some of his teammates, who have suggested that sitting out the rest of the season would benefit his career in the long run.

"Like I said, I haven't made up my mind on anything: Whether I'm going to play, not going to play, have surgery, not have surgery. I'm still waiting on more options," Palmer said.
Cincinnati EnquirerBottom line is that we're all waiting on news still, which ain't good but also ain't "IR bad" yet...

Something is wrong with him that we are not privy to. To me, all the tea leaves tell me he is not playing again this year. I dropped him yesterday in a big $ league and will ride out the year with Schaub/Rosenfels.

Dropped Palmer last week for Anderson and dropped Hasselbeck this week fror Torian

Palmer was picked up and dropped again a few days later

Ever since it was announced he'd be seen by the doctor for the Mets, I have been assuming Tommy John surgery is coming.

I dropped him in a deep keeper league because I needed the roster slot for a receiver (it seems I own half the injured receivers this week) and because I'm not convinced the cost to keep him would be worth paying next year.

The Palmer owner in my league refuses to let go. I actually tried to trade for Palmer before the injury (offered Rivers/Bruce for Palmer/Coles). Then last week I offered O'Sullivan. No dice.

10 man redraft. PPC and PPR scoring. I drafted him in 5th round (good value based on DD) and I just dropped him this week. Ben was on the wire and I have Warner on bye. EVEN if he comes back I think Cin's O line is such a mess that he wouldn't be scoring like a top 10 QB anyway. All the ingredients were there for FF promise. Crap D, capable receivers, expereinced QB with a good arm and proven track record. Sometimes things don't work out as planned in FF (no kidding).

:(

i had to dump him a week ago. i needed a backup qb and it just didn't seem like he was getting any better. so i basically made a trade where i traded steve slaton for big ben and chris johnson, and to create roster room, released palmer. through that time, no one has signed palmer. 6 team AFC-only league for what it is worth.

I dropped him a couple of weeks ago. I believe that he's either done for the year or done for long enough that he'd be a ff playoff pickup. Just a gut feeling, so take it as you will.
