Palmer on Thursday reiterated that there was no news when he briefly spoke to reporters. But, when asked if Altchek's findings reinforced what Palmer already knew, he said no.
"Monday I found out some information that I wasn't expecting. I'm just trying to get as many opinions as I can," Palmer said.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis on Wednesday said that specialists have recommended rest for Palmer.
"Right now, surgery is not an option," Lewis said.
Palmer, who has been wearing a brace on his right arm all week, said he's awaiting more medical opinions. When asked how concerned he was that his elbow might not improve without surgery, he said he wouldn't comment.
"Nothing's changed," Palmer said.
Palmer was asked about the sentiment of some of his teammates, who have suggested that sitting out the rest of the season would benefit his career in the long run.
"Like I said, I haven't made up my mind on anything: Whether I'm going to play, not going to play, have surgery, not have surgery. I'm still waiting on more options," Palmer said.
