how many pts did the TEN Def allow in week 2? 19 or 13? (1 Viewer)

In my yahoo league, the scoring format is 2 pts per sack, 2 pts per fumble recovery. 4 pts for 7-13 pts allowed.

1 pt for 14-20 pts allowed.

The final score was Ten 11-19 Pit. 4 Sacks, i fumble recovery.

As of Sunday Ten had 11 pts. Now they are showing with 14 pts and only 13 pts allowed. Is this correct?

I know that sometimes not all the pts count against the defense, i.e. if the offense is on the field when the opp team scores.

did this happen in week 2?

thanks...

I just did some digging into my Yahoo leagues and it looks like the default scoring setup for defensive teams is as follows.

A kickoff return for a touchdown is not scored as points against the team defense.

A punt return for a touchdown is scored as points against the team defense.

I based this information on both the Tennessee defense having given up a kickoff return this week, and also the Cincinnati defense who gave up a kickoff return against New England last week. Looking at the 2010 season stats shows points against for both teams as not counting the kickoff returns for a TD against the team defense.

I'm not happy myself, as I lost this week against the team that played the Titans defense against me and I thought I had won until scores were finalized Monday morning when I found that apparently overnight my opponent had miraculously scored 4 extra points somewhere with no games being played. Now I know where the points came from.

did you actually find the rules somewhere? This will also affect who wins between my opponent and me for week 2.

does anybody else know what should be the correct number of pts allowed for the TEN DEF for wk 2?

Looks right with showing 13 points allowed. My Yahoo league is setup where the TD (kick return, INT return, etc) isnt added in to the defense's "allowed" points but the extra point is.

Its 13. The OFFENSE of PIT only scored 13 pts. the other 6 were scored on a KO return...thats the way Yahoo scores it.

So in essence, since TEN's defense wasn't on the field, they didn't give up the points.
