0.5. If my oline is doing its job, I could get back to the line of scrimmage on most plays. I would get hit immediately at the LOS and be stopped immediately. I figure I could fall forward once in awhile when hit from the side. I am not running over any player in NFL.

It depends if the defense realizes how awful I am.

If they think I'm an average NFL running back, I might be able to get within 2-3 yards of the LOS before I fall down on purpose to avoid getting hit.

Once they realize I'm just some guy from the couch, they'd blitz every play. I'd be useless in pass protection, as a dump-off receiver, or on a draw. So they'd just bring the house and I would get killed, figuratively if not literally, for 5-7 yard losses and fumbles on every play.

I'd have to check the warranty on my knee and hip. I don't think they were designed to hold up to the NFL. I'm not sure I'd want to take them for even one test spin out there. I've had this conversation a few times with assorted buddies. We always use the following conditions;

• You are the starting RB and will get a similar workload to a feature back in the NFL, regardless of your performance
• You show up for OTAs and work with the offense as the RB1 throughout training camp
• You go on an NFL player's diet/workout routine (as much of that as you can physically handle)
• You are immune to injury and play the entire 16 game season

I'm 39 and in average shape. I'd assume I could at least get into decent shape over the course of several months of training. My line for the year would probably something like this;

259 carries, -375 yards, 0 TD

14 receptions, 0 yards, 0 TD

And my team would go 0-16.

There's one group of guys I could see Ho could honestly answer this question with some positive yardages near the league average - that would be international level rugby sevens players.
