I guess I will never get the point that he was making. I've been honest an open about trying to understand, but repeating the same thing over and over and expecting me to understand is not really constructive. I'm willing to admit that I  may be the problem student, but sometimes the teacher(s) need to take a different approach.

I think we describe it as it appears: Republicans will twist and contort long held (or at least long stated) beliefs, values, principles, and ideologies to provide almost unquestioned support for their Party, which has become inseparable from Trump.

Dems do the exact same thing. That's why the divide grows every day.   And it's a main reason many of us don't affiliate with either party any longer.

I think there's some truth to this but also suspect republicans use this to their advantage. All they have to do is deny the obvious, but if enough aren't paying any attention then they can get away with it anyway.
