http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/25/hurricane-sandy-threatens-northeast-and-mid-atlantic/Under some of the most recent computer models, the hurricane is expected to move into the western Atlantic, lashing the Florida and Carolina coasts with rain and large waves. There is growing concern that Hurricane Sandy will then take a left turn toward the coast, possibly slamming into New Jersey by Tuesday with tropical-force winds, causing severe coastal and inland flooding and historic urban flooding in New York City, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Here I am. A 7-Iron away from the ocean on the coast of NC. Yet this news makes me happy as I do not want the ATL\PHI messed with.Latest advisory has Sandy off the coast of NC on Sunday.http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201218_5day.htmlIt remains to be seen how far out the rain and wind would extend. Storm seems to be losing tropical characteristics and could morph into low pressure system.
I'm going to the game and hope this isn't the case. I've never been to Miami so...Miami is @NYJ this weekend I believe. That would be a game that could need to be moved. Come on down New York, half the stadium down here is rooting for you anyways.
It's moving so slowly that NHC officials don't think it will affect NYC until Tuesday.'Ministry of Pain said:Miami is @NYJ this weekend I believe. That would be a game that could need to be moved. Come on down New York, half the stadium down here is rooting for you anyways.
Question: Best sense for what NYC will expect? Franklin: Not 4 days out. Track error is average 200 miles. #Sandy
Not if you got a limo ride to the game and get to watch in a catered comfy suite. The storm can wait until Monday.THIS Sunday the Dolphins have some ### kicking to do.'Ministry of Pain said:Miami is @NYJ this weekend I believe. That would be a game that could need to be moved.
Not sure I could come up with a decent backup...though, benching Bryant for sure in a league where we actually have to carry two kickers.Local news is saying that the Philly/Atlanta game WILL be affected...likely high-force winds (quoting at least 30 MPH) without significant rain, which should limit it to a ground game. I'd think twice about starting Matt Ryan, who is facing a team who never loses after a bye week AND is dealing with those type of winds.
You've got to be kidding me. I'm 2-5 and fighting for my playoff life. I'm starting in that game: Vick, Maclin, Julio, Gonzo. Unbelievable.Local news is saying that the Philly/Atlanta game WILL be affected...likely high-force winds (quoting at least 30 MPH) without significant rain, which should limit it to a ground game. Reid must be pissed, he is now forced to let McCoy run for more then 15 times a game.Local news is saying that the Philly/Atlanta game WILL be affected...likely high-force winds (quoting at least 30 MPH) without significant rain, which should limit it to a ground game. I am 4-6 with Ryan\Julio\Roddy White. Tough to replace all of that. I have Vick and Julio and I agree with this. I'll see where things are at Sunday morning. It's too far out to panic now.Weather reports change. Check Saturday night/Sunday morning. No need to worry about it now. Have replacements ready.

So in other words, those like me with Ryan and Julio shouldn't be benching these guys based off weather predictions.Based on the link below, the Eagles-Falcons game shouldn't be severely impacted. Some rain, moderate winds.

Weather can change fast but based off that information if you were planning on starting any Eagles/Falcons involved in the passing game I see no reason to bench them due to weather-related concerns. So in other words, those like me with Ryan and Julio shouldn't be benching these guys based off weather predictions.Based on the link below, the Eagles-Falcons game shouldn't be severely impacted. That link shows a 2/3 chance of rain and pretty heavy wind gusts..that seems like a concern. Personally, I'll probably play Luck over Ryan as a result, if things stay as they are.Based on the link below, the Eagles-Falcons game shouldn't be severely impacted. Some rain, moderate winds.

I almost threw up when I heard them say that seriously on tv.hurricane sandy is kind of #####, btw -- it's called FRANKENSTORM

Yeah at the beach we are seeing drizzle and occasional 25mph-30mph wind gust. It's windy today in North Carolina.
That link is calling for 20mph winds with gusts up to 36mph.'Badgers Fan said:That link shows a 2/3 chance of rain and pretty heavy wind gusts..that seems like a concern. Yeah it's starting to look real bad. Going to be some tough decisions for all Eagles/Falcons except for McCoy and Turner.this sucks. going to have to find another kicker now....
No. It's because it is a "hybrid" storm that will be a combination of two different storms of different types.'BustedKnuckles said:its a combination of its monstrous size and it being so close to Halloween'Run It Up said:I almost threw up when I heard them say that seriously on tv.hurricane sandy is kind of #####, btw -- it's called FRANKENSTORM
