It's funny that Haley wins one game and suddenly he's got this perfect plan that can't be questioned.
It's just as funny that a coach doesn't do what their fantasy owners want, and because of that the coach is viewed as an idiot.
why do people keep saying people with him on the fantasy roster???? this has nothing to do with that... its about winning games, giving you the best chance to win games... do you think the titans want CJ to get 25-30 touches or 10-15 and ringer 10-15.....???? what gives them better chance to win.. ringer 5-10 and cj 20-30 i think that is more reasonable... All im saying is Charles 15-25 touches and tjones 8-13 touches woudl be reasonable... run charles on them first down and second downs more... to many 3 and outs with Tjones..everyone always points to tjones 1400 yards but look how many carries it took to reach that 335? he avg barely over 4 ypc.... he is an avg back with tons of miles... charles has low miles and avoids big hits... he is a super well conditioned athlete and I think they are underutilizing him... there are thousands of excuses why or whatever bottom line is Get Jamaal the ball
I am also a Charles owner and want nothing more than to have Jones get about 5 carries a game and Charles the rest. But in real life NFL terms - and unfortunately for us Charles owners - limiting his workload is probably best for both Charles
and the Chiefs.
It saves the wear and tear on Charles, who relies on his explosiveness on every carry. Run him around 20+ times a game, including up the gut into the
defensive wall, and it will probably take its toll on his explosiveness over time.
We may look at Jones' stats and say why is he getting the ball at around 3 yards a carry? But if Jones is converting first downs on many of those carries, then I'm sure Haley doesn't care what his stats show. And if he can complement Jones with Charles' ability to break the big one, that is what he is looking for in his offense.
Again, sucks for us fantasy owners, but it makes a lot of sense in controlling the clock and trying to keep drives going.
