On The Rocks

Someone want to explain to me how this guy has a job as an analyst on the NFL Network?

As unwatchable as anyone in Sports Media ever.

As a lifelong niner fan it pains me to say, but Jerry Rice appears lost when talking. He understands the game and I get what he is saying, but his delivery is just not good.

why do people watch this?

it's tiring enough just to watch the actual gameplay on sundays/mondayys

It really is sad to watch NFL network these days. I remember watching back in 2005 when Rich Eisen and the two other guys actually did analysis. You could find out useful information on the mid week pregame shows and even ESPN's NFL Live. Now it's all about who can be the biggest jackass while some hot broad stands off to the side.

And this answers the question as to why we watch it.

I hate even seeing the name... That guy is the biggest POS ever. He is due for release in a few years which is complete bull####. The son he tried to kill has cerebral palsy.

#### that guy, I hope someone clips him the day he is released.

That's awesome. Honest to God, I didn't even notice it. But Ditka should be a ceremonial brother in this case.

Steve Young needs to be included too then, although that may cause a race riot.

Does anyone else find it annoying that these guys get more air time than actual in game highlights? All these pre and post game shows are just old guys talking, more football please.

They need to bring Emmitt back.
when did he work for nfl network?
I have no idea. Maybe you could enlighten me sensei. The "they" was referring to the NFL media in general. He was awesome!
The thread starter was writing about NFL Network, you nitwit.
Read the second line in the OP sparky. Sports Media just might be more inclusive than just NFLN.
Yeah,.,...I was really referring to the idea that Sapp is the worst ever anywhere. Wouldn't matter who was employing him.

Jerry Rice was a host on Sirius NFL for a minute and it was embarrassing how bad he was. Not only was he worse than Emmitt Smith, he was so bad that I was unsure if he actually ever spoke the English language before.

I really do want Emmitt back though. I miss things like:

  • "Eli Manning has been given the rice of passage."
  • "The way you perform make them feel about you different."

:hifive:

I want to root for him, but he is just really bad.

For sure. ESPN started that horrible trend. I remember Prime Time used to have tons of game highlights where the highlights for a game were like telling a story. Now, it's like they show no more than four or five plays from most games and the highlights last no more than 20-30 seconds.

:goodposting: Rice is whatever the speaking version of illiterate is.
