I want Frank Reich's job! (1 Viewer)

Has to be the easiest job in the NFL.

QB coach for Peyton Manning

If Peyton retired today I would venture to guess he could be hired tomorrow if he chose to be a QB coach anywhere in the league. His knowledge of the position is probably second to none in the NFL.

Does anyone really think Frank Reich will have to teach Peyton anything? It seems working with Sorgi will be his biggest responsibility.

And maybe if Peyton wins another two MVP's Reich can put that on his resume and he can get a head coaching gig out of that.

Reich actually is pretty heady about the QB position, though I agree Peyton knows a heck more. Problem is, often when it comes to yourself, you can't see clearly... Frank's job is merely going to be to watch Manning and let him know if his motion is changed a little, etc.FYI, Reich has been on Buf and Car, both Polian GM'd teams, like the Colts are now. He also was a decent quarterback in his own right, though not a superstar, he's no schlump.

And he's a turtle. :P

At one point (not sure if it is still the case) he was the QB who led the greatest comeback victories in both NCAA and NFL history.

Still true for NFL, his college comback record (31 points down) has been broken by Michigan State.-QG

He would be right up there with tiger woods' swing coach, right? Yet woods uses the guy a ton. I am sure that while Peyton is the man, having a guy like Reich (who backed up machine gun kelly) is not a bad thing. I am sure that Jim Sorgi likely has a career doing this when his playing days are done.
