IF Moss lands in Dallas.... (1 Viewer)

Obviously it hasn't happened, and obviously we all think it would be a total mess, but lets say they don't strangle each other for the first 8 weeks.

Would there have been a better set of two WR's on the same team ever?

Quickly the duos that come to mind are:

Rice/Taylor

Moss/Carter

Rod Smith/McCaffrey

Holt / Bruce

Reed / Lofton

Harrison /Wayne

Ill leave out out the other so I don't name them all.....

PS - Ivin and Jimmy Smith COULDA been.....

Duper/Clayton?? They were pretty good, even if they were Dolphins

Would be perhaps the greatest half of football EVER, but I have my doubts that they could co-exist any longer than that.

There is not enough Prozac in the world to keep any head coach sane for more than 5 days with that duo together.

Lets be real there is about a 1% chance of this happening, but the 50td record would be threatened. Moss will be in NE next year for 10 mil a season. Way to go Moss you got the Pat's by the balls and he won't let go till they pay up. :football:

Williamson and Wade at the start of 2007 was tops!

Wait... my list was upside down. Sorry.

If I'm the opposing HC, before my game against them I would send a golden apple to the Cowboys locker room with a note that simply said, "To the best Wide Receiver in the world" and watch the drama unfold.

If I were a Pats fan, that would P*** me off. Their franchise has been built around guys not being greedy and everything is "team." The Pats should have tagged him.Why do I feel like Jerry Jones is somewhere in Moss's ear and throwing these big numbers out at him. Even if Dallas didn't get him, why not make NE pay an insane amount for him so they can't sign other quality players.

Let me just copy a portion of what I just posted in the "Cowboys Offseason Thread":

Meanwhile, although it's very speculative, don't rule out Randy Moss. I'm just saying. The fact that he has yet to sign with the Patriots is very indicative that he's listening to and considering other offers. Forget about the T.O. thing. They both have their sights set on the same thing, and to do it together as Dallas Cowboys would be bigger than anything they ever dreamed of.

And don't tell me it couldn't be done. All you have to do is look at the receiving corp New England put together last offseason.

If anybody can do it, Jerry can. Those outside of Dallas still haven't gotten it through their head that this is not the same T.O. He's a team player in Dallas, whether you want to believe it or not. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Moss have already had phone conversations.

Everybody was so certain that Moss would have been re-signed by New England by now. Hasn't happened. I wonder why?

What would he have cost if they tagged him?

Not sure but it might cost the Patriots the whole 2008 season by not tagging him.

That is obviously not the Patriot way anymore. Asante took more money to go to another team, and Moss truely does have them by the balls. That franchise is in a downward spiral IMO.

Actually, it is a misnomer. It has never been the Patriot way. It has been the Tom Brady/Tedy Bruschi way. Chad Eaton, Ty Law, Laywer Milloy, Willie McGinest, Ted Johnson (was a FA and got no offers), Deion Branch, David Givens, Damien Woody etc, have all left for more money.
