IF someone drafts KJ in a redraft... (1 Viewer)

The only way I would draft Kevin Jones is if I had a game plan to pick up Brian Calhoun in the later rounds. That said I have no idea where Calhoun should go.

Bryson is more likely to take touches from KJ this year, not Calhoun
When Jones is healthy that will likely be the case initially. But should Jones get hurt again (and given his propensity to get injured that's a pretty good bet) it wouldn't be surprising at all if Martz wanted to see what the rookie can do. Bryson is a solid receiver out of the backfield, but Calhoun is also a terrific receiver and if he picks up the blitz schemes quickly he brings a big-play element to the offense that Bryson and Pinner can't match.Neither Bryson nor Pinner are anything special carrying the ball. It remains to be seen if Calhoun can make the transition to being a starting RB in the NFL. I believe he can and if he does pick things up quickly and should Jones get hurt again, I wouldn't be surprised if Calhoun was the one Martz picked to get most of the carries in a non-Jones backfield.

A lot of "ifs" there I realize but late in a fantasy draft it's all about upside. Bryson and Pinner have next-to-none in my opinon whereas Calhoun has quite a bit. I'd much rather grab him late than take guys like Bryson or Pinner.

Someone is supposed to pick up blitzes in a Martz offense? :D Good points on Calhoun, though if (when?) Jones goes down, I'd guess its a full-blown RBBC. Calhoun will get his chances, but so will the others, particulrly Bryson
