If Yeldon is out this week who is the 1 week play: Gerhart or Robinson (1 Viewer)

Looking like Yeldon may not play this week. With the bye week crunch there is opportunity for many of us to start a 1 week starting RB directly from waivers.

But who is the choice here? Gerhart took all of the 1st team snaps this week but Robinson was coming back from injury. Robinson seemed to be the backup to Yeldon before he got injured. So who would be the start?

Ha didn't notice this thread.

For me I'm thinking of starting Denard over Crowell, Mathews and Bradshaw.

Robinson greatly outplayed Gerhart last season, not sure if things have changed much since then. All a matter of his health, to me, especially in a PPR. I am starting Gerhart in a couple of very deep leagues, but I'm not expecting much.

Starting Denard over Gerhart, Riddick/Bell, McCluster.

Starting Denard over Bradshaw & Mathews.

Starting Charcandrick West over Gerhart.

The Florida Times Union's Hays Carlyon suspects Denard "Shoelace" Robinson will out-touch Toby Gerhart Sunday against the Texans, despite the Jaguars giving Gerhart the nominal start.

Carlyon went as far as to predict Shoelace will handle 15 touches, and Gerhart will get only six. Robinson is certainly a more effective runner than Gerhart, with far more big-play ability. It's unclear how much Robinson's health is a concern after he missed the last three games with a sprained MCL.

There are people that have been starting Yeldon?
comments like these are stupid and unhelpful. Because of injuries and bye weeks, yes, people have to start lesser productive players. Otherwise, there wouldn't be threads on this topic on the first page of a fantasy football forum. But of course you knew that.

No question I'd go Robinson - would start with some confidence even. He has proven to be effective as both a runner and a fantasy player.

In fact, just went looking to pick him up to start over Abdullah for my bye week issues in a league with really small benches so it would hurt (need to drop someone)... but he's already rostered. In a league with decent talent on the wire because of the small benches.

I disagree.. it helps us weed out those posters that we should somewhat ignore when it comes to their fantasy opinions.

Or, it provides a rare time when it's ok to say "wow, wish I were in your league" :coffee:

You are assuming he's healthy. He may be getting rushed back here.

For what? To save the Jags playoff hopes?

Yes, I am making that assumption at this point (that he is healthy). Moot point for me as he was taken, but I happen to like what I've seen from him when I watch. Has a little J Charles in him with speed and catching ability.

While that's funny, teams actually try to be competitive to sell a ticket or two.

This is the Jags we're still talking about right?

Gotta build up that London fan base before the move

Double digit points in 3 of his last 5 games for PPR.
I just grow tired of Rotoworld doing back flips to defend Yeldon but they have no problem throwing rookies like Tevin Coleman under the bus.
This may be the root of your problem. YWIA.
Teach me the ways. Oh great fantasy Guru. I am hanging on your every word.
