If you won your league say "Yeah!" (1 Viewer)

Yeah!!

Championship lineup...

Romo

Steven Jax

Ron Dayne ( I love you, you fat tub of suck)

Dom Rhodes (yuck)

Plaxico

Weggie Wayne

Vernon Davis

Gostkoski

Cowboys

Won despite trading away Gore for Cadillac (week one, sell high, buy low -- boy did that backfire) and Addai for Culpepper week 4 (horrible move but I was desperate after drafting Warner, Plummer and Brooks). Treaded water with Huard/Carr until I snagged Romo the week before he was named the starter.

won 2 leagues yesterday...thanks to the peeps here on FBG's message board.

1 league - LT, Marvin, Chad, Bells, McNabb, Vince Young, Crump

2nd league - Sjax, Westy, Driver, Cooley, Balt D. and RON DAYNE!!!!

will subscribe next year to FBG to give something back....

YEAH!!!

Well, I won 1 out of 5 leagues and it was a $20 buy in.

My workhorses were Manning(the good one), Westbrook and SJax. Finished the season 14-2. Winning this league paid for my 3 year subscription to FBG as well as all my entry fees for this year and next. :hot:

Traded Portis for Harrison in a keep 2 league after Portis was deemed out for year. Saved me week 14, wouldn't have mattered week 15/16.

Smoke and mirrors baby...

I won MOX HP III

Delhomme/Romo...picked up Romo before the season started as a FA

D. Foster and FWp as my RBs, with Fargas as my secret weapon this week.

Harrison, Mush, Toomer, Bryant Johnson and my #1 pick GATES

Rayner as my PK

and my ace in the hole, my 4th round pick that i was laughed at for...

BEARS D

8-5 in regular season, although 2nd in the legue with points against, and then an amazing 3-0 run with Harriosn leading the way.

And i beat ravnfan to win the league.

Smoke and mirrors baby, thats how I roll.
:boxing:  I'd like to thank MR's SSmith, Wayne and Coles for the combined effort this week...5-36-0!

losing by <14 in a ppr league, a combined 10-126-0 wins me the coin...unfreakin' believable!

but I digress....I rode this auction team to a league "high points total/week" 6 times, setting a league scoring record:

Bulger

LT

Gore

FWP

Holt

MM/Jennings/Henderson

SD-K

Balt-D

won 2 of 4 this weekend...

Bulger saved his best for last. Great weeks by Bush, TJ Housh and Gould helped. Got solid TD-less performances by Westbrook & Driver and a decent one by Gates. I beat the heavy favorite and LT owner who got burned by not only LT's (relatively) poor performance, but by bad days by all his guys. My score was still the high for the week, so at least I didn't luck out with the matchup.

Did it in the two leagues that I drafted Peyton Manning in (had a later 1st round pick). :coffee:

ETA - also drafted Driver in both these leagues ... then picked up Robbie Gould & Colston too

I won my league - my record was 13-2. I picked up some players later on but I mostly did it with my drafted players. I know I drafted these guys something like this:

1:1 - L. Tomlinson

2:10 - M. Harrison

3:1 - C. Johnson

4:10 - T. Bell

5:1 - F. Gore

6:10 - ?

7:1 - T. Glenn

8:10 - D. McNabb

etc.

I had Shayne Graham and the Seahawks defense which I later switched to the Vikings and then I picked up Jeff Garcia, J.P. Losman and Jason Campbell after McNabb went down.

All of you are lucky bastards :)
I was 1st in points in my two non $ leagues. I also won them.I was 2nd in points in my main money league. My failure in the playoffs is summed up in 2 words:Ciatrick Fason.I won 0 money.I was not so lucky this yr in terms of $.

12.02 Brett Favre

13.08 Randy McMichael

Will finish 2nd in total points (behind the LT owner)

Double Yeah!

Won 2 out of 5 leagues.

buddies league - Romo, LT, Evans, Fitz, Holt, Gould, Bears

Gould and the Bears carried me to many wins.

No Mercy Kestrel's - Eli, LJ, Gore (WParker), Harrison, AJohnson, Curtis, McMichael

RBs and AJohnson's early work won this one for me.

10 team redraft

I won because SA had his best game, fantasy-wise, when it counted!

I managed to get there despite losing McNabb, Kevin Jones and Alexander for parts of the season.

The winning lineup was:

Cutler, Jay DEN QB

Alexander, Shaun SEA RB

McAllister, Deuce NOS RB

Holt, Torry STL WR

Walker, Javon DEN WR

Cooley, Chris WAS TE

Kaeding, Nate SDC PK

Patriots, New England NEP Def

Woo hoo. 20 team dynasty league, TD heavy scoring, no lineups submitted.

Opponent scored the 2nd most points in the 12 year league history courtesy of Steven Jackson and others. However, Wayne, Chad, Fitzgerald, and Steve Smith doing nada helped since I scored the MOST points in league history courtesy of Marc Bulger, LJ, Chris Henry, Bironas...

...and Stephen Davis, whose receiving touchdown counted double points.

TO's touchdown Monday put me over the top, 111 to 107.

YEAH!

10 team redraft

I won because I drafted pretty good out of the sixth slot, made two very nice trades, and did not have to face the LT owner in the playoffs.

I overcame poor QB play early in the year and loss of Portis for the season.

The winning lineup was:

Brees QB

S Jackson RB

Betts RB

T Bell RB

Wayne WR

Walker WR

Shockey TE

Hanson PK

Chargers Def

Had very good RB depth after the draft. Traded Deuce McAllister and B Edwards for Reggie Wayne about week four before Reggie went off. Traded Randy Moss and Maroney for D Brees just before Brees took the league by storm. Grabbed Betts off the waiver wire early as soon as I could tell that he was C Portis' back-up.

Won MFL addons Superleague. (link to playoff bracket)

How?

Sheer luck.

First I squeaked into the playoffs.

Then in each round of the playoffs (5 rounds in total) I was one of the lowest scoring teams but managed to luck out and play one of the few teams and sometimes the only team I could have beaten.

And there is no luck involved in fantasy football.

Won one, eliminated in the playoffs in another and one is still up for grabs.

I won because my opponent made bad lineup decisions in the Super Bowl. That's the truth. Otherwise I would have been blown out.

This year has reinforced my general belief that making the playoffs is 80% skill and winning in the playoffs is 80% luck.

I was in seven leagues. I made the playoffs in six. I was the high scorer in three leagues; in one league I had more points by week 13 than anybody else had through week 16.

Of my three high-scoring teams, one lost in the quarterfinals, and two lost in the finals.

Of my three non-high-scoring teams (all were #2 in scoring), two lost in semis and one won the finals.

 That has always been my opinion!
