INSANITY (11 Viewers)

the site is myfitnesspal.com

I did max interval circuit yesterday and found it very tough, not unbearable, but tough.

This morning I did max interval plyo after 2 hours of sleep and it was ugly. I have a weak upper body and the pushups destroyed me. Hello level 3 drills, GTFO and do not come back!

Yep, JB answered my PM.Not looking forward to Saturday.

Does anyone have an idea what Shawn T. yells in the preview clip before each workout? It sounds like he's shouting "SCALE." The Mrs. thinks he's saying "LET'S GO." No way is he saying 2 words. I know it's silly but we can't agree and we love bustin' each other. She told me to bring to the FFA.

Day 32 of 63 complete. Officially over halfway done!

So, what's up with the Lil' Wayne looking guy during the recovery week videos? Dude takes like 5 breaks during some of the easy portions like Heismans, etc. Are his Darren McFadden twig legs just that weak?

It's very clearly "Let's go." Sorry, GB.

:lmao:I wondered the same thing. Also really enjoy the close-ups of Ariel's bellybutton piercing.

Depending on how you obtained your copy, the audio might be a little buggy.

Thanks, GB. You too. Two more days until the hard stuff starts for me.

Decided I'm jumping in on this after I'm done with P90x. I'm not sure if I'm going to start it right away (after P90x) since the recovery week is at the end of P90x or if I'm going to give myself another week of some running/yoga to be completely fresh for the start of Insanity. Either way, I'm looking forward to starting this in early June.

Really can't see myself doing the Fit Test and Max Interval Training on Saturday so I think I'm just going to do the Fit Test tomorrow and the first Max workout on Saturday.

5 weeks went by fast.

are most of you doing the deluxe or regular edition? i noticed today the regular calendar would have me doing core cardio & balance where the deluxe is max interval sports training. also insane abs instead of cardio abs. did insane abs yesterday, hard as ####.

No idea. What week are you in?I'm finishing up week 5 which ends with Core Cardio & Balance. Week 6 starts with the Fit Test/Max Interval Circuit.Core Cardio & Balance is only used for the 6 days of the recovery week on my schedule.

LETS GOOOooooooooooooooI think it is in the end set of the plyo circuit.

Yesterday was officially 4 weeks for me.

BUT

I just finished Week 3 today.

I like to take 2 days off a week :goodposting:

We have short vacation right when I will hit the Max interval stuff. not sure how I am going to do it. Might extend the first month a little and do Recovery Week on vacation. How long are those videos? Are the stretches, ect. mostly stationary? (room will be the issue unless we exercise outdoors).

Recovery week video is about 45 mins long. Actually the Recovery video I've needed more floor space than the first month of videos. It utilizes some back and forth run and jump stuff.Don't be fooled by the name, it's not just stretching and yoga....it's a pretty decent workout that works up a sweat (just not as much as the month 1 videos)

well, that blows. How about the first few Max workouts?

No idea. Today is my last day of Recovery week. Start month 2 stuff on Saturday.

The Core Cardio & Balance video is a little over 37 minutes long. The first max workout is like 59 minutes. Pretty sure most of those are that long.

Looked it up. I have the Deluxe - as do most in this thread.

thanks i figured that was the case. read a review of max interval sports training, sounds interesting.

I'm 14 days from having to do that workout.
Did the sports training last night - overall not too bad. Runs about an hour - you do a different kind of warmup (mostly jump rope type moves) and then go right into the workout with no stretch. You then move through the different sports - boxing, football, basketball, gymnastics, and track. Each sport has 4-5 moves that generally run 1min a piece (you repeat some). There are also more breaks than typical but there are a few moves that are pretty difficult (esp in the gymnastics portion, atleast for me). At the end its the usual 4min or so cool down/stretch. I'd say its definately better than the Core Cardio and Balance in the "regular" version.

Recovery week officially completed. Day off tomorrow. I'll see you all in hell on Saturday.
I skipped the day off and did the Fit Test today to break it up.Improved in most but basically stayed the same for Switch Kicks & Power Jacks. I think I was too focused on form. Definitely could have gone a little faster on those.Starting with Max Interval Circuit tomorrow morning. :boxing:

I'm finished with week 6. The Max workouts are truly insane. Max Cardio seemed to be the easiest but only because it was shorter than the other two. I haven't figured out whether the circuit or plyo is the most difficult. I'm totally smoked after both.

Max Recovery was much more difficult than I was expecting. I did the Chest/Back workout from P90x that morning since I figured it would be a recovery day, and had major difficulty with all of the plank work and pushups.

First day of Month 2 workouts completed! Holy crap, Shaun T isn't playing. Just finished about 10 minutes ago and I'm completely spent, and will for sure be sore tomorrow. My t-shirt could've been wrung out with sweat.

My favorite part of this new video...at the end that breakdancer guy does a backspin and on his kick out of it literally comes about 2 inches from kicking hot Ariel in the face. She didn't flinch, but had a nice zoom in on her facial reaction which was basically saying "what a ########."

And btw, Shaun T. is bangin' Ariel off-camera. Always going to her and feelin' on the abs. (Don't you get soft on me Ariel!!)

So, I probably didn't do myself any favors on my day off yesterday which consisted of Chipotle for lunch, a juicy burger and fries for dinner and captain and cokes from 6pm to Midnight. Seems my 3rd Fit Test results would agree...

My shirt was definitely the most drenched it's been yet. Just sopping wet.

Really glad I did the Fit Test on the off day rather than doubling up. Can't imagine doing both the same day. INSANITY I tell you!

Day 37 of 63 down! (Max Interval Plyo)

My quads/hamstrings and shoulders were feelin' it this morning after yesterdays debacle. Fought through it. Push up stuff was killin' me at the end...my arms were just done.

Ugh. Getting ready to start now. Was sad to see 55 minutes when I started the DVD.

I have no idea, but assume at this point all of the videos are around an hour a piece.
Yeah, I know. I was just hoping for 45. :goodposting:Just finished and that effing sucked. I have a new least favorite workout. I was also totally burnt by the time I got to the balancing push ups. I think I did 4 or 5 really bad reps and that was it.

Almost finished the recovery week. My question about the 2nd set of DVDs is that if the people working out with Sean T can't finish the 40 minute videos, do they all become super fit for the next set? I can't finish the 1 set of DVDs, so what's the point of tacking on 15 minutes? Is it just so you continue to start/stop for longer?

Just do the best you can and take breaks when you need to.

I guess the point is that you push yourself by resting then getting back in more often since the workout is longer. Is Sean T able to finish or does he do a lot of walking around? How about the rest of group?

He's definitely sucking wind at times. And that's in addition to the walking around that he does.
