Is anyone else starting Colston this week (1 Viewer)

I think that if Rex Grossman can dismantle that defense, Drew Brees will have no problem going in there and doing the same thing. Since I own Colston in a Yahoo League, I can start him in the WR or the TE position. I feel like he can have a Gates-ish performance with the number of targets/red-zone targets he had last week...Sure, it was Cleveland, but GB is worse. Brees has apparently developed an early chemistry and a good comfort with Colston.

My projections for Colston: 70 yds. 1 TD.

That is why I am starting him over Ben Watson vs. NYJ.

It is high-risk high reward in my mind, but don't see it being THAT big a risk.

Anyone in my same boat?

Yeah, I'm considering starting him over LJ Smith. But until I see more of Colston, I'm not sure I'm ready to do that. It's too bad FBG's doesn't weigh in on their cheatsheets regarding Colston as a TE. I guess you can look at their offensive projections and see what they predict for each player. Like I said, it's early. I'm taking a "wait and see" attitude with Colston. But he's definitely a nice-sized end-zone target that Brees seems very aware is there.

Over Ben Watson??? Ben caught 3 for 50 yards and it was a disappointment. I don't see it. If you had a middle of the road TE, yes.

I'm in exact same boat as you. Watson is my starter, and picked up Colston as my backup TE (GB Yahoo). I'm tempted to start Colston, but will be leaving Watson in there. Brady completed 11 passes last week. 3 of them went to Watson. If Brady has 20 completions this week, there is a good chance that Watson has a big day. Colston is tempting, but I see no need to take the risk, when I got a good thing in Watson right now.

If you can start Colston as a TE, and don't have another great option, do it. Last week against GB the Bears D Clark had a very good game as the GB LB's could not cover him. I'm sure NO will try this week to exploit that same weakness in GB's pass "D".

How is it you can start a WR in a TE slot? Colston is not listed as a TE by either the Saints or the NFL.
