Oh you type just fine. The rest though... oh boy.

Well, if the Vikings want to go in another direction, the injury could give them the excuse they need. I doubt they'd bench him due to performance.

O look, another Brett Farve thread....
we owe it to him.
I wonder how many Brett Favre threads there are in the shark pool.. Or threads that devolved into Favre threads...

I'm betting 1 for every 3 consecutive games started..
Even more than that. It's more than 1 for every game started.I counted 412 FAVRE threads and 28 FARVE threads.
that must of took a while

Ok, so moving away from the frivolous personal attacks and semantic debates on what qualifies as a "hater" or not, let's get back to the topic: is this Favre's swan song?

Here is one hypothesis - yes, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Brett's health.

If I am Leslie Frazier and I am trying to gain control of my team - which is the biggest key for me to go from "interim" to full-time head coach - I look at Brett Favre as a part of the problem, not the solution. This guy was Chilly's man and has a whole bunch of outside drama for which I want to take no responsibility...and he is a "gunslinger" that I will have no chance to really control. In the best case, we win out every game and still need a BUNCH of help from the NFC East, North, and South to even have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.

If I am in that position as interim HC (iHC), I meet with Favre and stroke his ego a bit...and then have the man-to-man talk:

1. we both know that our playoff chances are slim

2. you have a bunch of off-the-field drama which is rather distracting to the team

3. you have some serious ###-kissing to do in Hattiesburg, MS (sp?)

4. your legacy would be secured if you had a season-ending injury and then still mentored the next guy to success

Call me a skeptic, but this whole deal sounds a little too pat: Favre gets his old coach/nemesis fired, wins his first/last(?) game for the new coach, gives him the game ball, and then goes down in the first series of the next game - like a true warrior. The new guy gives Favre the graceful exit with reputation intact and Favre walks away on his own terms.

Thoughts?

So what player will the Favre haters direct their attention to when he retires? Manning? Brady?
It will be who ever the media chooses to shove down our throats. It looks like they have already nominated Mike Vick -2010 NFL MVP!
Please explain the "hater" mentality. So if a player has done well then the thing to do is be a player hater?
well...to you any criticism...even legit, makes someone a hater.
:goodposting: That wasn't what I asked and you know damn well the difference.
I wasn't trying to answer your question. Just stating my point that some of you throw the hater label around quite quickly even when it doesn't apply.

:lmao: What TJ could easily replace Brady. :sarcasm:

What, to count them? About 1 minute. 17 pages with 25 posts per page = 16 * 25 + 12 (on page 17) = 412 posts

2 pages with 25 posts per page = 1 * 25 + 4 - 1 (about Irv Farve) = 28 posts

You are such a sensitive little girl.
Right on cue. Yet another personal bash while failing to discuss a topic out of you.Grow up.
Well maybe you wouldn't get bashed so much if you didn't act like a little girl.
Yawn...your schtick is old.And I believe those who continue to get bent out of shape by my post count or legit criticism of a QB are the sensitive ones.Grow up.

 again you show what a little girl you are. Who has mentioned post counts in this thread other than you? Do you need a therapist?

I take it you don't want to add anything to yet another topic and just are here to follow me around and bash?

Thanks, but Im already married, I don't need your obsession.

Pure gold!
4 posts...not a single one on topic.Yes, your predictability is pure gold.As for the topic...I will believe he is done when he is not out there every Sunday.Frazier says he will play if healthy...just wonder how healthy he can be at this point with as much of a beating as he has taken this year.

My predictability has nothing on your meltdowns.
Despite your attempts, you will never cause me to meltdown. As usual in dealing with you, I remain calm and as civil as possible...meanwhile you are still trying to bash me.Typical also that you parse my post with the one thing that was on topic so you could post yet again without addressing it.I say again...grow up. I wouldn't be shocked if you find yourself on a timeout soon as you have been pulling this crap for about 2 years now.

That's a decent start to one of your meltdowns.

I hope Brett starts next week vs the Giants. We will need him. Would love to see us win out, even if the playoffs are not obtainable.

Packers made a HUGE mistake letting him get away..... :hophead:
Favre did get closer to a Super Bowl in the last two years than the Packers did.
Correction, the Vikings got closer, and they're better equipped to do so using Favre than the Pack have been, especially on defense. In other words, the Pack with Favre likely wouldn't have gotten as close the Super Bowl as the Vikings did.So the question becomes, if you're the Pack do you sacrifice Rogers' career with you for the last two seasons with Favre? The answer is overwhelmingly "no". Rogers' career may not ultimately amount to Favre's, but he's got a lot more wins left in him than Favre does and I think they can build something special with him, up to and including championships.

You're talking to Deanna. She'll have none of this.

You misspelled "Jenn".
