Is George Wilson close, or what? (1 Viewer)

Been out a long time for a supposed stinger. Would love to have this guy back for the playoffs. Any word on how he's doing this week?

I read somewhere this week, I think idpguru.com, that he will be a risky start from here on out which doesn't sound good. I have him rostered also, so I'm in the same boat.

Cleared for practice today.

Strong safety George Wilson, who has missed the last three-plus games with a neck injury, was cleared to practice today for the Bills and there's a chance he will be able to play Sunday when Buffalo plays in San Diego.

"I came in and had to show the trainers and the coaches what I could do as far as going to the ground and showing my strength and I was cleared to practice," said Wilson. "I'm going to take it one day at a time and see how the week progresses, but I plan to be out on the field on Sunday when we take on the Chargers."

Coach Chan Gailey had said Monday that it didn't look good for Wilson to return to work, and he was genuinely surprised when he learned in the upgrade of Wilson's condition.
Cautiously optimistic here. I expect he'll be listed as limited -- haven't seen anything about today's practice yet -- today and tomorrow. If he gets in a full practice, he should be good to go.

Buffalo’s starting safety tandem of George Wilson and Jairus Byrd are looking good for Sunday’s game in San Diego with both of them practicing fully on Thursday.

“I think we’ve got a good chance to have them,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “George practiced fully today and Jairus was full practice.”

If Wilson starts on Sunday it’ll be his first action since the Dallas game in Week 10. Byrd just missed Wednesday’s practice after getting leg whipped with a cleat in last Sunday’s game.
