yes.Is Tennessee good or lucky?
Was that an honest change of heart or a clever tactic? You don't make a 60 yard FG without a little luck (or have Dungy call timeout when you're about to punt and then you change your mind to go for the 60 yard FG) but Tennessee is better than people thought.
Young is progressing nicely.
And the Colts defense sucks. I've been saying that for a while. Indy was very lucky to beat Tennessee last time.

No it was so Indy would take the TO. As soon as Indy took the TO i said "Sucker".. I thought Fisher was the best coach today, I'd like to hear the 1/2 time speech. You don't make a 60 yard FG without a little luck (or have Dungy call timeout when you're about to punt and then you change your mind to go for the 60 yard FG) but Tennessee is better than people thought.Young is progressing nicely. And the Colts defense sucks. I saw this too - one of the guest studio analysts on the CBS post-game show said this. I didn't recognize who the person was unfortunately, older guy, maybe a former GM(?)BTW, who saw/said he's getting an extension this week? Link? This would be cause for super celebration.
The only reason they sent the punt unit out was so that the Colts would burn their final timeout. When they burned the timeout, they knew they could just kick it. They didnt want to give Peyton any chance of moving the ball to set up anothre field goal for the Colts.Good young team that is very well coached..
Simple thought but great post. As an Eagles' fan that's seen his team quit on multiple occasions under the charge of Coach Reid, for a team to continue to fight it out under a supposedly lame duck coach is remarkable and deserving of praise. Clear testimony to Fisher's coaching IMO.His teams never quit - the sign of a great coach.
As a fellow Eagles fan, I can't help but be reminded that Braman passed over Fisher to hire Rich Kotite in '91. Oh what could've been... :XSimple thought but great post. This post is a perfect '10' when it comes to the Titans finding that 'luck'.Many people here are giving Fisher credit for this team not quitting and yes, he deserves some. But most fans do not understand the kind of leader the Titans have at QB. As big a freak of a playmaker 10 is, his single greatest attribute is his heart. Teammates are drawn to him and are inspired by that attitude.I'm amazed at how quickly the team is taking on his personality. Another thing to remember, the two losses during this stretch were at Indy (one-point loss) and a last-second field goal by Baltimore. The Titans are starting to see some of the "luck" that fell upon the '05 Longhorns.![]()

and they were leading Balt by a bunch but ended up losing it late.3 impressive wins in a row@PhillyGiantsColts
I was listening to ESPN radio early this AM, in which John Clayton was asked if he were starting a team next year, would he rather have Vick or Young. He picked Young, despite the unparalleled atheleticism that Vick brings to the table. Not that Clayton is always right, but still very interesting..One day soon, Michael Vick fans are going to wish he was as good a QB as Vince Young is going to be.
I don't see how anyone could pick Vick at this point.I was listening to ESPN radio early this AM, in which John Clayton was asked if he were starting a team next year, would he rather have Vick or Young. Agreed, but 4 or 5 weeks ago, people would have had a markedly different view. Just shows how quickly things move - we may have seen the best Vick can offer, while Young could be just scratching the surface.I don't see how anyone could pick Vick at this point.I was listening to ESPN radio early this AM, in which John Clayton was asked if he were starting a team next year, would he rather have Vick or Young. I still would like to have seen what would have happened if they had let Vince try on 4th and 11 instead of punting it back to Indy at the end of that first game. Given Vince's late game heroics, it would have been exciting. I also think that if Fisher faced that same decision today, he'd let Vince try to get the first down.If they were lucky, they wouldn't have lost to Indy the first time.

Add the Colts to the long list of defenses who suddenly, inexplicably experienced "tackling problems" concurrent with facing Young.Young Runs, Passes to Rallies Titans at LP Field
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans entered Sunday's game as one of the NFL's hottest teams.
On Sunday, the Colts saw why and saw it up close.
The reason: Titans quarterback Vince Young.
Young, the No. 3 overall selection in this past April's NFL Draft, concerned the Colts all week because of his rare ability to make big plays after protection broke down. On Sunday, the rookie from the University of Texas rallied the Titans back from a double-digit first-half deficit, leading Tennessee to a dramatic, 20-17, victory.
"He runs well, he throws the ball well", Colts safety Bob Sanders said. "We had chances to stop him, had our hands on him, and we didn't do it."
Young, who last week rallied the Titans from a 21-0 fourth-quarter deficit, rushed for 78 yards on nine carries, including 29 late in the third quarter on a drive that gave the Titans a 17-14 lead.
Seven of Young's runs gave the Titans first downs and six converted third downs into first downs.
"I think that was the difference in the ballgame", Colts middle linebacker Gary Brackett said.
The Colts, despite coming close on several occasions, did not sack Young.
"He's a great athlete", Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney said. "He's coming into his own a little bit, scrambling around and making plays for his team. It's our responsibility as a defensive line to get him down and we didn't exactly do that today."
Asked how often he came close to sacking Young, Freeney said, "A lot of times. We have to get him down. We have to make those plays. We have to tackle and get the guy down."
