Is there a way to ensure mock drafts flow smoothly? (1 Viewer)

I'm currently the commish in an MFL mock where all 12 were FBG members. The timer is set for 8 hrs, with the clock suspended from midnite to 8am. We are in the 3rd round of a 12-team, 20-round mock. I've already had to put 3 mockers on autodraft because they timed out, and it looks like the 4th mocker will be put on autodraft in a few hrs. Of course, the more that go on autodraft, the more the dedicated owners complain (and I don't blame them; it's annoying as hell).

Is there anything a person can do to ENSURE all mockers are committed? Mocks become pretty useless when half the teams are picked by a computer.

I am on espn - and its almost not worth it. Usually have 2-3 bail or never actually log in once they sign up. 2 or 3 more bailing within the 4th rd ...with the majority ...yes, the majority not hitting autopic before leaving. If I could kill them, I would have a body count higher than the zodiac killer. I am on there now and currently have what appears to be junior high kids cussing one another using "gangsta" lingo - pretty awesome (actually I just imagine that wraps up another 2 in my body count and I feel just a little bit already --- ahhhh).

Your reply, combined with your avatar, makes me afraid of you. As David Paymer said to Mel Gibson in Payback, "You're not gonna friggin' kill me, are you?"

Gee what a shock  I've tried some mock auctions on ESPN and it's the same or worse. The avg age there must be about 8 tops - I've yet to be in a draft where most of the drafters stuck around for at least half the draft, for starters, and there are plenty of kiddies signing up just to screw up other people's drafts by out-bidding everyone for the top 2 or 3 picks then leaving. tee hee, giggle. I guess the "your cat is on our fence" crank calls are passe.Calling ESPN a joke should be like the water is wet thing, just FYI for those holding out hope. Most mocks are only worth it if you know most or all of the people in them. PS you can do mocks vs computer opponents on fantasyauctioneer.com, which is OK, but they tend to be pretty predictable.
