I agree. I think B. Quinn could go here if J. Thomas goes to Detroit.According to J. Clayton of ESPN. Will post link when available. That'll throw a wrench in those mock drafts.
Depends on the deal I think. If its a 1 year contract, then AP is still possible, but If its a 3 or 4 year deal, I don't think it happens.I think they still draft a RB.
If they're smart they would.I think they still draft a RB.
Baltimore? That's the rumor.TheGreatest said:I think that pretty much seals McGahee being a Bill next year as well. GB could still be a possibilty though, but thats about it.
Your right. SorryBaltimore? That's the rumor.TheGreatest said:I think that pretty much seals McGahee being a Bill next year as well. GB could still be a possibilty though, but thats about it.
Agreed. I don't see AD being the pick anymore. It would be a waste of money. Why even bother to sign him if you're going to draft Peterson? I know Lewis isn't the back he once was, but there would be almost no point to signing him as a backup. Peterson to the Vikings? Hmmm...
why? they just signed Chris Brown and baltimore has a need, doubt hey go with Musa and Mike andersonTheGreatest said:I think that pretty much seals McGahee being a Bill next year as well. GB could still be a possibilty though, but thats about it.
With Droughns, Lews and Harrison in the fold, I'd be a bit suprised to see the Browns draft Peterson at this point. Not that any of the current Browns RBs are premier RBs in 2007, but they should be solid enough and the Browns have many holes to fill. Why sign Lewis if you're planning on drafting an NFL ready RB like Peterson anyway?Depends on the deal I think. If its a 1 year contract, then AP is still possible, but If its a 3 or 4 year deal, I don't think it happens.I think they still draft a RB.
I think Lewis owners were just hopin he was employed by september.Probably the worst spot for Lewis to land for fantasy purposes.
FTR, I don't think this has been reported by any credible source just yetwhy? they just signed Chris BrownTheGreatest said:I think that pretty much seals McGahee being a Bill next year as well. GB could still be a possibilty though, but thats about it.
Thats probably the last thing the vikes need. Why even bother to sign him if you're going to draft Peterson? I know Lewis isn't the back he once was, but there would be almost no point to signing him as a backup. Peterson to the Vikings? Hmmm...
if you'd have said that March 1st, I'd aggreegiven the options as of March 7th, I'm not sure there is a better senario for him...my guess is Droughns gets the ax next week, or restructures the $1.75M bonus down a tadClev's 1.3?Probably the worst spot for Lewis to land for fantasy purposes.
If he's there, I think they have to.Calvin Johnson to the Browns?Braylon Edwards, Calvin Johnson, Kellen Winslow = pretty damn scary group of receiving weapons for whoever winds up at QB there.
oh my bad. Guess I didnt read the whole thread, just kinda thought it was a done dealFTR, I don't think this has been reported by any credible source just yetwhy? they just signed Chris BrownTheGreatest said:I think that pretty much seals McGahee being a Bill next year as well. What WR would you like them to reach on at #7?Thats probably the last thing the vikes need. Why even bother to sign him if you're going to draft Peterson? Chester Taylor isn't a franchise RB. He's okay, but nothing special. If Peterson is there at 1.07 then I'd expect the Vikes to take a long, hard look at him. I generally agree with the idea that good RBs can be had for cheap and are thus not usually worth drafting high, but there's no denying the impact that guys like Jamal Lewis (in his early years) and LaDainian Tomlinson have had on their teams.Thats probably the last thing the vikes need. Why even bother to sign him if you're going to draft Peterson? Cleveland is fantasy death for RBs. And I suspect he will share time with somebody. Small piece of a small pie = fantasy crumbs.if you'd have said that March 1st, I'd aggreegiven the options as of March 7th, I'm not sure there is a better senario for him.Probably the worst spot for Lewis to land for fantasy purposes.

Minnesota has so many pressing concerns beyond RB, they should trade this pick if ADP is there at 1.07.Lord knows they know how to use 15 (or more) minutes of clock on Draft Day....Chester Taylor isn't a franchise RB. Totally disagree... The Browns are trying to build a ground control team with a strong defense. They have put a lot of money into the line.Probably the worst spot for Lewis to land for fantasy purposes.
I can name about a few of them at #7 that upgrades what they currently have at WR.What WR would you like them to reach on at #7?Thats probably the last thing the vikes need. Why even bother to sign him if you're going to draft Peterson? Makes a lot of sense. And honestly, I think it might be the best pick for them. QBs are always a huge risk, but you have to roll the dice at some point.I'm definitely hearing rumblings that the Browns absolutely love Brady Quinn. And it would make sense for many different reasons. First, he's from Ohio and apparently has indicated that he'd like to play for the Browns. Secondly, the Browns need a franchise QB badly. Thirdly, there's the Crennel/Weis relationship. I believe that as long as Quinn is there, he'll be the pick for the Browns and that has been the plan all along.
Please explain how? Defensive minded coaches like ball control... they have put a lot of money into the line, have a great deal of talent on offense and in any case a young QB they want to take pressure off of by running. For Lewis this cannot be a good thing. I have to assume they are passing on Peterson at this point. Joe Thomas and Calvin Johnson will very likely be off the boars when they pick. Romeo is defensive minde...even thought the DT from Michigan might not be thought of as this high of a pick, maybe they want to go in that direction. They have Braylon Edwards ho is coming along just fine...maybe they want Brady Quinn to develop him.
Baltimore has a big hole now to fill.

I agree that is probably the best thing for them. I was listening to an interview with Quinn on NFL radio and he was saying he wants to be the #1 pick. He then went on to say that he would love to play in Cleveland if they would trade up to the #1 spot and get him. Almost sounded like he wouldn't be happy if they selected him with the 3rd pick.Makes a lot of sense. And honestly, I think it might be the best pick for them. Be great for him. Better team.Quinn at #3, Russell fall to Houston/Miami?AD in a free fall?? Maybe the injury concerns and other teams acquiring RB's in FA will make it happen. What a shock it would be for him to fall to the Packer at #16. Houston might get real lucky.
CONFLICTING REPORT: NFL Network just said that Lewis did NOT sign with Browns and that he has made arrangements to visit "other teams."

Here's the total team RB production for the Cleveland RB corps in recent seasons . . .2002 252.5 fantasy pointsTotally disagree... A graph of those stats vs. the IR report for the O-line might correlate well.....Here's the total team RB production for the Cleveland RB corps in recent seasons . . .2002 252.5 fantasy pointsTotally disagree... 2003 250.5
2004 209.2
2005 209.9
2006 164.2
Notice any trends? It started out below average and ended up putrid. Maybe they'll do better . . . but that's only because it would be really hard for them to do worse.
All I heard was Ramsey to the Broncos and Lewis did not sign.Thats all I got. They say anything about Chris Brown?CONFLICTING REPORT: NFL Network just said that Lewis did NOT sign with Browns and that he has made arrangements to visit "other teams."
