Chances of them keeping jax from getting one first down greater than 15%Onside kick was a mistake when you have 2 timeouts and over 2 minutes left. They are recovered so low % of the time. Great comeback falls short.

My chance this week stayed strong with all those TDs by Ben. Now maybe COle can make up for Ben next week (and in the Bowl?)Congrats jags.
And now my chances in the contest![]()
Pitt staff doesn’t understand this never mind posters hereOnside kick was a mistake when you have 2 timeouts and over 2 minutes left. They are recovered so low % of the time. Great comeback falls short.

He was trying to score which really is what had to happen. That 2nd down play where they threw it short and Brown didn't try to get out of bounds didn't get enough hate.
Sure that totally makes sense.I'm not sure but you can bet that neither are the refs so it could have worked.
I know being outcome-based is what fans typically do, but the Steelers were correct to go for it on 4th and 1 both times. The fact that they did not convert does not retroactively make them bad decisions. The fact that they lost by three does not make it a bad decision to pass on the FG.Sorry but it's the truth
The call was terrible then. Throw it to Brown in the end zone. Sometimes he makes ok catches there. He was trying to score which really is what had to happen.
actually what they tried was the better option. They didn't need to simply RECOVER a kick, they needed to return it. no chance to return a traditional onsides, better chances with a hard squib hoping to touch an up manSteelers don't even try to recover an onside kick![]()
I think the actual playcalls are getting the most criticismI know being outcome-based is what fans typically do, but the Steelers were correct to go for it on 4th and 1 both times. Hey they still get praised all the time for that game winning td vs the ravens a couple years ago when Ben threw it to brown short of the end zone with no timeouts. The call was terrible then. Throw it to Brown in the end zone. Sometimes he makes ok catches there.
They kicked it right to the Jaguars return man though. I understand the probability of recovery and score is essentially 0% but you have to try anything else other than what they actually did.actually what they tried was the better option. I’m 43, fat, haven’t played a team sport in 25 years, don’t own cleats and I’m 100% confident I could have done better on one of those kicks.
I hated the play calls so agree with that aspect of it.I think the actual playcalls are getting the most criticism
Don't worry, if the entirety of the 2017's season is any indication, the officials and the suits in NY have ne's backJagwires are no joke. NE is going to have their hands full.
They put up 42 on the Jax defense, so probably not...Todd Haley fired yet?
pretty sure the kicker was trying to nail one of the up men and just missedThey kicked it right to the Jaguars return man though. I understand the probability of recovery and score is essentially 0% but you have to try anything else other than what they actually did.
Went heavy on Eagles players, but my key QB was Ben. SHould survive this week, and have a shot next week, but it's hard to imagine winning without a QB![]()
I'll survive this week but my saints plus Keelan Cole isn't getting it done in the super bowl.
You can't advance a recovered onside kick so the only option is to hope for a legitimate fumble and return for td thereThey kicked it right to the Jaguars return man though. Yes, Commissioner Goodell is obviously a big Brady fan and he's got some pull.Don't worry, if the entirety of the 2017's season is any indication, the officials and the suits in NY have ne's back
Retire alreadyBusterTBronco said:Big Ben had 469 yards passing today. Das is good, no?
. Steelers fans are spoiled. Meh, sorry if you haven't watched what's gone down this year without the Homer goggles on.Yes, Commissioner Goodell is obviously a big Brady fan and he's got some pull.
Enjoy it bro!I’ve been a fan since the beginning. It’s been so long...this is ####### awesome. I still can’t believe they pulled it off. This calls for a metric #### ton of beer!
no study needed. Kind of easy to note if you watch NFL games. it is either an entitled fanbase or a spoiled one, thinking "oh well we lost this year, we will be back here again next year".I wouldn't leave at that point but I know fans do. Not sure about other fan bases, you have a study you can link?
That post was wrong as well.see my other post. saving it until after the break you potentially save 38 seconds instead of 8 (or 12) plus, as someone else mentioned, you force Jax to run instead of throw
It was the correct decision to go for both fourth downs. Both play calls were bad and that isn’t hindsight. They picked 2 low probability plays and I’m not sure how that’s even debatableI know being outcome-based is what fans typically do, but the Steelers were correct to go for it on 4th and 1 both times. A super bowl win and another trip to one. What is the appropriate amount of championships for Ben?I don't even want Tomlin fired anymore, I want Ben to retire and for Tomlin to have a couple 0-16, 3-13 seasons then fire his stupid ### so people will realize how truly awful Tomlin is. What a waste of Ben's career.
My guess is that they wanted to drill a Jag with the kick hoping it bounced their way.You can't advance a recovered onside kick so the only option is to hope for a legitimate fumble and return for td there

THose plays were awful. You need less than a yard both time, you have a huge qb and you do fancy crap both times. It was the correct decision to go for both fourth downs. Both play calls were bad and that isn’t hindsight. They picked 2 low probability plays and I’m not sure how that’s even debatable
I agree and so do most people in this thread. It was the correct decision to go for both fourth downs. Both play calls were bad and that isn’t hindsight. They picked 2 low probability plays and I’m not sure how that’s even debatable
Hell the 3rd 4th and 1 call was kind of terrible as well but at least Brown made an incredible catch to make up for itIt was the correct decision to go for both fourth downs. Congratulations and good luck next week.I’ve been a fan since the beginning. It’s been so long...this is ####### awesome. I still can’t believe they pulled it off. This calls for a metric #### ton of beer!
