Jacob Tamme (1 Viewer)

10-101-1.
11-108-1Sportsline is missing a reception.
Is it correct that he got credit for this catch:(Shotgun) P.Manning pass short left to J.Tamme to IND 26 for 12 yards (N.Allen). PENALTY on IND-K.DeVan, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at IND 26.I guess b/c the penalty was enforced after the play, at the 26?
He caught a pass on the Colts' final scoring drive that went to the 13. It was the play before White's catch. Sportsline has it correct now. 11-108-1. Tamme = Dallas Clark Redux.

This guy looks great but then again peyton makes a lot of people look great so not trying to take away from him he has definitely done what he had to do and stepped up and played very well

With the above quote about the Snaps/Targets/Stats being true, Finley and Clark out, Zach Miller hurt, and Antonio Gates' injury more serious than some people think - COULD Tamme end up being the #1 TE in fantasy the rest of the year? If Gates returns soon, and Witten keeps this up, the number one position may not be attainable, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him finish in the top three.

He has one of the five easiest schedules for TE's the rest of the year, Peyton Manning's confidence, they have no other legit pass options at the position and Eldridge hurt, and the TE plays a big role in the Colts offense

Schedule:

Week 9: PHI (22nd against TE)

Week 10: CIN (10th against TE)

Week 11: NE (26th against TE)

Week 12: SD (30th against TE)

Week 13: DAL (6th against TE)

Week 14: TEN (13th against TE)

Week 15: JAC (28th against TE)

Week 16: OAK (14th against TE)

None of these match ups on paper will slow down Peyton Manning, and defenses will have to respect Wayne, Garcon, and Collie when he returns.

Who else could you throw in there? I can list a few guys ranked inside the top ten I would rather have Tamme over because of his upside.

Tier 1:

1: Antonio Gates (Bad injury(s))

Tier 2:

2: Jason Witten (Coming on now with Kitna)

3: Vernon Davis (Hurt and may have Troy Smith throwing to him in run first offense)

4: Zach Miller (Hurt, and who knows will be throwing to him in run first offense)

Tier 3:

5: Dustin Keller (Run first offense and red zone hype dying off)

5: Tony Gonzalez (Hasn't really done anything special this year)

6: Aaron Hernandez (Don't fully understand the hype here, just so-so with 29 receptions and 388 yards, 0 TDs)

7: Chris Cooley (Been ok in PPR, but QB drame going on)

8: Brandon Pettigrew (In the two games that Stafford played, well 5 quarters, Pettigrew only has 3 receptions)

9: Mercedes Lewis (TD machine this year, but team is up and down)

I would take him no hesitation over everyone in Tier 3 right now, and with three of the four guys in Tiers one and two injured, he makes an argument to be considered there. I know this is going out on a limb, but if you look at the whole situation along with his talents, there are no red flags popping up saying he wont succeed.
Apart from Gates, would you rather have any of the TE's left over Tamme? Witten/Davis are the only players I would even think about swapping for him but they both have problems at QB so I'd prefer Tamme. Zach Miller could make an argument, especially with his team playing well, but he's also hurt. I know it's only two weeks, but those were two really good weeks and with Collie banged up again and Peyton throwing to him, Tamme's upside seems ridiculously high.

Ok.

So... is he just a fill-in until Clark is back next year or is he going to be a bigtime TE in the upcoming years?

Cliff's notes: What's his dynasty value?

If Gates continues to struggle with the foot injury it's not crazy to think Tamme could be the No. 1 TE the rest of the way. He's getting all the targets Clark was getting and he's playing like Clark. In this offense, his potential is sky high right now. It's clear Manning trusts him and looks for him all over the field just like he did with Clark.

After loosing Finley I'm glad I dropped Hernandez and snatched him up before someone else did. He's good but without Manning I say he's just average at best.

With Miller, Gates, Daniels, etc hurt and many others slumping or inconsistent I'd say Tamme could very likely be the TE1 forward.

Why exclude Gates? His injury status drops his value considerably. That's not something I want to worry about with playoffs coming up soon. Not saying I would make the trade (I don't know at this point), but I think it's close enough to discuss.

Manoman... After searching all season for a decent TE, it looks as if I finally found one... Thanks primarily to this thread... :goodposting:

Your right, with Gate's injury Tamme could be the #1 the rest of this year. Correct me if this would be a bad decision, but I would reject a straight up trade giving away Tamme for the likes of Davis, Miller, Witten, Keller, and Gonzo right now. Gates would make you think, and I know he's tough, but people are underestimating his current injuries.

for me THIS is the question!i've got Tamme and Witten in a PPR-dynasty and IMO when Clark comes back next season Tamme will return to being his back-up. So is Tamme a sell if you don't think your ff-team can/will win it all this season?

Hmmmm. We may have a stud here for the rest of the season. :goodposting:
PUOTY! Pick-up of the Year. :pickle:
Tamme has been pretty great so far but i dont think anyone can surpass Brandon Lloyd as "PUOTY" this year as he likely went completely undrafted in most leagues but was WW gold for whoever got him first. In deeper leagues Lloyd was definitely the SOTD of 2010 in my opinion. But, back to Tamme, who i hope easily outperforms Witten the rest of the way. :excited:

I think Hillis might have "puoty", I'm sure he wasn't taken in many drafts.

But Tamme's has me excited, I picked him up this week as I had Vernon Davis and Cooley on bye in my dynasty, now I think I might be overloaded at TE

Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star predicts that Jacob Tamme (back) will be "OK" despite missing Wednesday's practice.

Wilson spotted Tamme at Colts headquarters Wednesday, and the tight end "seemed in decent spirits." He apparently isn't dealing with significant pain. Tamme should be penciled into fantasy lineups for Week 10 against Cincy.

Jacob Tamme missed Colts practice Wednesday with a back injury.

The injury isn't believed to be serious. The Colts held out of practice or "limited" 13 players Wednesday, good for nearly 25 percent of their roster. Expect Tamme to return later in the week and start versus Cincinnati.
