JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without starting receiver Matt Jones at Indianapolis on Sunday.
Jones, who has 11 catches for a team-high 144 yards, missed a second consecutive day of practice Thursday and remained questionable for the AFC South matchup.
Guard Chris Naeole (knee), fullback Derrick Wimbush (knee), punt returner Chad Owens (ribs), defensive end Marcellus Wiley (groin) and linebacker Pat Thomas (ankle) also missed a second straight practice.
Wimbush and Wiley were downgraded to doubtful, and Thomas was ruled out. The others remained questionable.
Safety Donovin Darius (back), cornerback Rashean Mathis (knee), defensive end Paul Spicer (groin) and defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (ankle) returned to practice Thursday and remained questionable.
``We want to be prepared, but we also want to be as healthy and fresh as possible for the game,'' coach Jack Del Rio said. ``We have to get our team ready to play and have a contingency plan in case some guy doesn't respond.''
