Older, somewhat relevant info:

Shortly after that, he had a new team, signing a modest contract with the Vikings after Minnesota cornerback Brian Williams, a onetime college teammate, made a pitch to then-Minnesota coach Mike Tice on his behalf. At the behest of Williams, Tice had phoned (Koren) Robinson during his treatment program and told him that, if he could get clean, he would get a clean slate if the Vikings opted to sign him.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Brian Williams was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on Saturday and his status for Sunday's season opener against the Dallas Cowboys remains in question.

Police said Williams was pulled over when his 2006 Bentley was seen swerving on a downtown Jacksonville street early Saturday morning and swerved toward a police car. According to the arrest report, the officer noticed an odor of alcohol on Williams, but Williams denied that he was drinking.

When Williams was asked to get out of the car, officers said he stumbled and said, "I ain't gonna blow." In a field sobriety test, officers said he stepped off the line three times and then said he would no longer cooperate. Police also said Williams used racial slurs toward the arresting officer after he was arrested, according to media reports.

Jaguars vice president Dan Edwards confirmed Williams had been arrested but declined comment. The Times-Union reported Williams and coach Jack Del Rio could not be reached for comment on Thursday.

The newspaper reported Williams has continued practicing with the team.

The Jaguars signed Williams in the offseason as a free agent, signing him to a six-year, $32 million contract that included a $10 million signing bonus.

Williams, drafted by Minnesota in 2002 out of North Carolina State, had 42 tackles and 4 interceptions for the Vikings last season. In 62 career games he has 220 tackles, 183 of them solo, and 12 interceptions.
 He's been playing good football and just screwed up. Could seriously derail the Jaguars' chances of winning the game against dallas. Plays well in coverage and that will be missed against very talented and physical Dallas recievers. Now with Peterson, Stroud and Williams in limbo, it could be a very long day for the Jaguars defense. Not to mention how Dallas' defense has been playing.

Back to the story, not a classy move at all. Just dissappointing.

For all that the Jaguars have done for others just this offseason, this seriously is a huge blemish. Be sure that Del Rio gets to the bottom of this.
