Jake Delhomme's Status for Week 17 (1 Viewer)

OK, I made it to the big dance even with my stud Steve Smith posting 0 this week. (Thank god for Steven Jackson) Is there a chance Jake will be ready to go this week? Has anyone heard anything?

I'm leaning towards benching him unless Jake in under center. I sure don't want to see another "O"fer out of him in our Championship Game.

Anyone have news on Jakes status or chances this week?

I'm thinking it will be a gametime decision. If the Giants win Saturday night than the Panthers have nothing to play for on Sunday except for pride, and I wouldn't be suprised if they played their 3rd string QB. But if they are playing for a playoff spot, they will do everything they can to have Jake back on the field. Either way, you are probably better off benching Smith if you have any other decent options on the bench.

Upgraded to probable, and he says he will play regardless of whether the Panthers are still in the playoff hunt. I would still start Smith with extreme caution.
