Jamal Lewis Mouths Off (1 Viewer)

i am not a big jamal lewis fan...but today will go down as one of the greatest "moments" in the history of sports.he has called his "babe ruthian" shot and done it.WOWOWOWOWunbefreakinglievable.

Babe Ruth called his shot?If Jamal breaks the record, I think Jamal's call is much bigger.
i agree 100%first, there is debate on whether or not the Babe did call his shot.second, premier homerun hitters will hit a homer once every 15 at bats or so (including walks), give or take.there are so many other reasons why this is greater...but enough said...the writers and historians will be all over this.

To all of you Cleveland Browns fans I am truly sorry that this had to happen to you.....................................................................Ha Ha Ha NO I AM NOT!!!!!!!

Jamal Lewis "runs" at the mouth: Ravens running back Jamal Lewis has ticked off the Browns by telling them he's going to run all over them tomorrow and set the NFL single-game rushing record. According to Browns safety Earl Little, Lewis talked some trash in a phone conversation with one of the Browns' defenders this week and has the entire defense fired up. "One of my teammates has a friend on their team," Little said. "[The Ravens player] called his boy Jamal and put him on a three-way with one of our teammates. He actually told my teammate he was going to run over us and that he was going to break the NFL rushing record." The record is 278 yards, set by Cincinnati's Corey Dillon against Denver in 2000. Little said Lewis also told the Browns' player "that one of the safeties, either me or Robert Griffith, is going to come down in the box and that he's going to run us over. I mean, that's totally disrespectful right there. We're looking forward to playing this guy, point blank." Lewis has room to talk, though. Last season, he rushed for 187 yards in the first meeting against the Browns to tie his career-high, and 100 yards in the second meeting. What's more:  Two of his four best career games are against the Browns, 187 yards last season and 170 yards in 2000.  He has more carries (90) for more yards (543) against the Browns than any other team in the NFL. He is averaging 135.8 yards per game and 6.0 yards per carry against the Browns. Three of his 12 career 100-yard games are against the Browns. In the first meeting last season, Lewis broke a long run of 75 yards in the third quarter to set a Ravens record. He also set a team mark by averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Last week against the Steelers, Lewis rushed 15 times for 69 yards in a 34-15 loss. The Ravens vow to get him the ball more this week and if they do, the Browns better beware. The Ravens are 17-2 when he carries the ball 20 times or more. However, one of those losses came against the Browns last season in Baltimore.
I guess what's so cool about this is that Jamal was talking trash to fellow players and the Brown's took it public. Would have been a little different to me if Jamal was just popping off to the media. Awesome job by an awesome back.

The guy I'm playing today benched Jamal Lewis (thank God) -- granted, he also has Edgerrin James and Shaun Alexander, who he started... if he breaks the record it has to be one of the all time ballsy claims in sports...

WOW!!!!He is the MAN today!!To talk trash like that and break the rushing record in a hostile environment... with everyone gunning for him?!?!?I love talking trash in my FFL leagues... and having everyone gunning for me.. only to hand them their asses at the end of the day... :football: He just moved up several spots in my book.Congratulations Jamal. You rocked today.

Now there's a man that can back up the trash talk!! Wholly smokes!! Watch out Shockey there's a new trash talker in the NFL...

I just want to know what he's gonna promise for next week. Seriously...to talk smack before the game and go out and just demolish them is very impressive. If I were Cleveland, I'd be double bagging it now... :bag: :bag:

There was only 78 passing yards by Balt and 7 completed passes. Who cares about receptions when he has 295 yards rushing and 2 TDs?
