Jamal Lewis with McNair in the fold.... (1 Viewer)

night and day. I don't necessarily expect him to return to his all pro days without some line improvement but the QB improvement should dramatically improve their offense and his TD chances. They had little to no ability to move the chains with 1st downs through the air the past couple years and McNair has always excelled at the little underneath completions to TE's to keep drives alive.

 Todd Heap's stock?

I'm not exactly sure. The more I think about it, the more I come away with the conclusion that the majority of his improvement this year (if any) will be due to him being healthy entering the season. I predicted doom and gloom for him this time last year since I didn't think jail was the best place to rehab post surgery.

So if he has a good year this year, it will mostly be due to him hitting the ground running this season and not so much McNair. Jamal has produced with Boller under center before and with other potential HOFers like Chris Redman and Jeff Blake.

If he starts off the season poorly, they won't hesitate to yank his ### for Mike Anderson IMO.

I think that between McNair and Ngata Lewis' stock should be moving steadily upwards.

McNair because defenses will have to be concerned about a viable Ravens' passing attack; Ngata because he will help the rest of the defense get opposing offenses off the field, thus getting the ball back into Lewis' hands more frequently. Also, with more defensive stops, one would then figure a lower scoring game, again putting the ball into Lewis' hands more often.

I look for a top 10-15 season for Lewis.

I was just wondering about Lewis myself and was going to start a new thread to see what people's views are, but glad I located this thread.

Lewis is shaping up to be one of the best value RBs right now. Chester Taylor, who completely gutted Jamal's totals last year, has moved on. McNair looks like he will land at QB which immediately makes their offence credible, along with Mason (remember that 80's song "Reunited") and Heap. Lewis' should be 100% healthy -- I recall his ankle was wonky last year and the few months spent in the pen didn't help his conditioning either. Their O-line is okay, good enough to get him going. With McNair, their won't be 8 or 9 in the box. The Ravens DT is still a solid unit that's going to give the offence plenty of possessions.

If he shows up to camp in shape, he could easily return to being the most physically dominant running back in the NFL, which he clearly was in 2003 and part of 2004.

I don't think Mike Anderson will be near the vulture that Taylor was either.

I'd love to be the guy that gets to draft Jamal as an RB2 or RB3. He could turn out to be a borderline RB1 in terms of value in the end.

imho.
